i have bad acne and dry skin but i dont no wat 2 do do i apply my acne medication wait half and hour than apply moisturizer im confused some one plz help meHow do apply acne medication and use a moisturizer at the same time?
just use your moisturizer after that apply your acne medication or if not doest work consult to skincareHow do apply acne medication and use a moisturizer at the same time?
what i try to do is put the moisturizer on first and try not to hit any big pimples or acne, then i dab the medication on the individual pimples..if i dont do this it usually burns and its annoying
I would put the moisturizer first, then the medication, Or you can put the medication at night and the moisturizer in the morning.
Which part are you confused about? How long to wait in between or whether you should apply moisturizer before or after?
Depending on your acne medication, how long you wait to apply moisturizer is different. Example, do you use a cream that you keep on? If so, then I would apply the acne medication at night before bed, and then apply moisturizer in the morning %26amp; if it doesn't cause any bad reactions with the medication, I would also apply it before the acne medication.
If you're using an acne wash, like Proactive, for example, I would apply the moisturizer a few minutes after washing, when it's dry.
dump both. use noxema with moisturizer. nothing has ever worked better. i never have acne anymore and it moisturizes. =3
First, I understand where you're coming from. I grew up with really bad acne, not only on my face but on my body as well. It was embarrassing and I tried everything including cleansers, creams, prescription medications, antibiotics, over the counter medications, and even shots from the dermatologist (ouch!) to get rid of it. I never did until many years later when it didn't matter as much.

Here's what I found out after lots of research and trial and error, the hard way.
It's not a topical issue, it doesn't help much to treat it from the outside, it's an inside job. When you treat it from the outside it's like treating the symptoms, not the cause. You'll hear from many people that's not the case, and it's usually because they want you to buy their creams or lotions, and keep buying them month after month after month (or they haven't experienced the truth). Of course, when you stop using it (as you've experienced) your blemishes come back... because you're not treating the cause. And the costs for all of these routines/drugs add up month after month.
If you think about it logically, it makes sense. Why do we get rashes, breakouts, or other skin irritations? It's usually because of something we ate, something that wasn't meant to be put on our skin, something that caused us stress and our body reacts to all those things.
Bottom line is that most every cause of acne is related to what you eat, how you feel and how you take care of yourself. Your skin is a reflection of what's on the inside. We have lots of toxins building up in our systems and they have to be cleaned out on the inside and that will reflect on the outside. The blemishes, rashes, acne, etc are indications that your body is reacting to what you're eating, to stress, toxins, chemicals, hormones... literally a great number of things.
Basically what I did in a nutshell was clean out my system by taking out the processed and junk foods, and added as much fresh fruits and vegetables to my diet as possible. This part is key. I also started drinking a lot of water daily, starting with 3 or 4 glasses when I wake up (adding a squeeze of fresh lemon at times). I also got more active every day, walking, running, sports, jumping, whatever, just getting active. It not only gave me more energy, it help flush out the toxins that were clogging up my system.
Did you know 90% of acne is caused by 3 major factors? Find out exactly what
they are and how easily it is to solve them here http://topsecretacnevolution.blogspot.co鈥?/a>

What is the best solution for pitting scars and acne scars?
Thanks for your answers. I'm looking into creams and ointments. What is the best solution for pitting scars and acne scars?

Forget the lotions and potions that promise the world. Your skin has been permanently damaged by the acne scars and damaged skin around the scarring.
I would suggest you speak to your local doctor to refer you to a plastic surgeon. It may cost, but your face is your presentation to the world.
use your money wisely - have your face attended to professionally.
Try Bio-Oil, its available in most Boots stores and inexpensive.
I have used it on cuts, old acne scars and stretch marks with excellent results. I got the best results by gently rubbing a drop or so into the area and must say within 2/3 weeks noticed significant improvement.

well, me myself has been to the Doctor with my sister and the Doctor checked her up and gave her some cremes , but she also was told she could get similar cremes at a supermarket or chemist such as , E45 ,etc.
good luck!.
I would recommend zenmed.
Their skin eraser did wonders for me and it is one of the more affordable creams.
You can find more information about zenmed and other home remedies at:

Does the high heat your body gives off when you have a high fever enough to kill acne bacteria?
Your body turns hot when you have a fever so that it will ';burn'; the infection away right? But, does this heat-killing affect the acne bacteria enough to kill it? I noticed that when I have a fever, I never get acne.Does the high heat your body gives off when you have a high fever enough to kill acne bacteria?
The difference between your core temperature and the temperature at your skin is significant. I don't think even a high temperature will raise your skin temperature high enough to affect bacteria there. If it did, during fevers our skin would be sterile and that is never true. Sorry.
As for your observation of fever and not getting acne, this is likely to be just a coincidental finding. I think you would have to have a fever for at least a week while the acne clears up to be able to make some connection between the two occurrences.Does the high heat your body gives off when you have a high fever enough to kill acne bacteria?
Your body is fighting the infection - and you get dehydrated.
So your skin is likely less oily ?
It could be why - your skin is healthier while you have a fever. If it is and you feel better follow up fighting it with a good 'regime' acne wash, toner and spot cream and lots of water -
to flush out your tissues.
I don't believe it is quite burning the infection away nor do I think it would have any effect on acne, so I know.

First don't use anything with mineral oil in it like a body cream such as jergins, curel, etc. those can clog your pores, and just cause more bumps, even though it's not acne. What color shirt should I wear to take away acne?
I mean, take away the appearance of redness/acne. Kind of like how white shirts compliment white skin. So what color shirt should I wear to take away the redness in my face? What color shirt should I wear to take away acne?
wear a brown shirt with a long dangly necklace!
usually if you chose a color that compliments your hair color, people wont notice your blemishes, and plus, the necklace will distract them!
good luck!
i get what you mean! lolWhat color shirt should I wear to take away acne?
first don't wear red shirts.
And secondly wearing a
certain color of a shirt
won't work. You need
to just get rid of the zits.
Go to a dermatologist.
matters what hair, skin and eye color you have
but I agree with the person who wrote before me too
I'd do something about that acne
hmm....i don't know...maybe wear colourful shirt so people don't pay attention on your face but on your clothes.....don't get mad if i'm wrong
the color of your shirt is not going to help hide your acne .. you need find a skin product that works for you ... check out Murad.com this stuff really works!!
Uhhh...why not just get rid of the acne instead of trying to camoflauge your face. see a dermatologist!
I agree with Danielle.

already have tried
1)antibiotics 2)proactiv 3)retinol DOSNT WORK
i am on my 4th month of ACCUTANE and have seen ALMOST NO improvement at all. i had to be off of it for 9 days last week due to surgery and then get back on it after that my face is still breaking out.i dont know if this is normal and how long it takes accutane to start or finish clearing your face. but my derm said i am over the halfway point.
i dirnk 8 glasses of water a day
never wear any makeup
WHAT CAN HELP MY SKIN?How can i get rid of SEVERE ACNE?
I really wished I knew because my face has been breaking out for the last couple of months and I ve been using proactiv and it seems to me like it has made it worse. How can i get rid of SEVERE ACNE?
I've been on this as well. Roaccutane can make your acne worse before it gets better, but it's the best thing for acne so it will work eventually so keep it up.
One side effect is it can make your skin and lips very dry so use a non greasy moisturiser. Report Abuse
I was also so reluctant not to use any product since nothing helped me but one of my friend suggested me ';ARTISTRY CLEAR.NOW';,Break the cycle of breakouts with clear.now.Break the cycle of breakouts with the only 3-step acne treatment system utilizing patent-pending sodium chlorite combined with salicylic acid to keep pores clean, clear, and cared for.For acne-affected skin.

yeah proactiv doesnt work unless you lose it religiously and apply the same amount every time, every day. i used to have really bad acne on my face but honestly taking a shower everyday helps. bare minerals is actually a good type of makeup. keep drinking water too =) good luck i hope that helped a little.
Acne is a tricky one. But maybe your washing your face too much. When you over-wash, your stripping your face of its natural oils, so then your face produces an enormous amount of oil to make up for it. Just chill out, dont obsess over it. Only wash once in the morning and once at night with a mild cleanser. The treatment part is frustrating because different products work for different people. I'm actually shocked proactiv hasnt worked for you because i know tons of people that adore it, including myself. You might just need to give products time. It wont happen over night. Also make sure you exercise and forget the fast food and soda. Just know that you are your own worst critic. Be patient and keep your head up!! =]]
Certain food causes acne and can even make acne worse. My suggestion is to cleanse your face twice a day. Products from Clean and Clear/Neutrogena/Fresh Face (they have products for acne). You need to drink a lot of water and eat more natural foods. Reduce the amounts of soda you drink, that can make acne worst. The best advice i can give you can be found at the website below.
Please check out this picture. It is a true story of a young boy with SEVERE ACNE. I can attest to the results as well!

there's this gel stuff called topical duac gel. u put a little on your zits every night and it works for really quickly. i think u have to get a dermatologist to tell u it's ok though.(i use my sisters so im cheating). it's like 100 bucks a bolttle but it's worth it and u only use a dab of it so it lasts longer. ask your dermatologist to tell u if it will work for u cuz u dont wanna spend 100 bucks then it doesnt work!! check out this site:
http://www.duacgel.com/about/aboutduac.h鈥?/a>
those pics of the people that they have on there are pretty realistic, but as i said before, ask ur doctor if this id right for u cuz it may work better on some people than others. hope this helps!!! :)
I am in the exact same place you are. I'm on my last dose of Accutane and it's really not working for me, I've tried everything. My dermatologist said that you take it for five months, have a break, and then get three more months. It won't always cure acne, which he didn't bother to tell me until after my face looked bad 4 months into the treatment. Hopefully the second round will help but it won't cure your acne, just reduce the severity of it.
Good Luck!
From what I know, Roaccutane seems to help most people. Its extremely strong, so chances are..it WILL fix the problem.
You may be hesitant now, but it will pay off in the future because one thing you dont want is scars.
I found that less is more. You can overactivate your oil glands by scrubbing too much. Soap water and cleanser pads ..and just relax....stress can make it worse.
sorry i have that to i don't know what to do!
maybe ask ur doctor for one of those shots they insert in ur face. it cleared up my bros acne.
First, acne is only something you can try to prevent, it is a condition that is always with you and the thing to do is to be responsible for your skin care. You need to give the product time, because in many cases it gets worse before t gets better. Be sure to clean your face twice daily and to wear a SPF of 15+ all the time. Try to stay out of the sun for too long. Try to stay away from stressful situations and a bad diet.
I always had pretty bad skin until I started on a birth control in pill form. I started taking Yasmin when I was 17 or 18 and I swear it keeps my skin clear! I know it works, because the week I have to go off of it to get my period, I will break out a little bit. Another plus of the birth control is that if you get cramps during your period, it takes away most of the pain you would normally feel without birth control. I'm not sure how old you are, but if your parents let you look into it give it a try! Remind them that it is to help clear your skin and help your cramps! But between us, you won't get knocked up either!
have you tried not doing anything for it. i know it sounds weird but i used to have bad acne and finaly stopped treating it and it cleared up. it was one of the ingredents to prevent acne in everything i tried that made me break out. i was alergic. that could be the problem. now i just use dove soap and haven't had a problem since.
You should get Clear.now. It is comparible to Pro-Activ but it actually works. Trust me i've been in your shoes a million times but this is the only thing that helped me. The coolest thing about it is that they have a 100% money back guarentee so you can't lose because if you try it and it doesn't work out for you you can totally just get your money back. You can't get it in any stores but you can go to http://www.adrennan.qhealthbeauty.com you can buy it there and read about it and other peoples testimonies.

It depends on the type of acne. Talk to a dermatologist. But what worked for me was tanning. 5 minutes in a tanning bed three times a week took care of most of my acne, especially on the back, chest, and shoulders. my dermatologist prescribed differin gel for my face and it worked to.
I just read up on some natural ways to get rid of Acne naturally, without any products or chemicals. I thought it was pretty cool, I did some of the things... there's a lot of good ideas in here.

I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.
You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.
i want to know what foods should i stay away from, how much water i should drink, what products to use, does rubbing alcohol work? and other suggestions please thank you!

You need to scrub your back with an acne wash just before you get out of the shower, i found that my conditiioner and soap was causing me to break out. aslo drinks lots of water and eat lots of vegies you need vitamin AHow can i get rid of the acne on my back really fast?
It depends on the type of acne. Talk to a dermatologist. But what worked for me was tanning. 5 minutes in a tanning bed three times a week took care of most of my acne, especially on the back, chest, and shoulders. my dermatologist prescribed differin gel for my face and it worked to.
I just read up on some natural ways to get rid of Acne naturally, without any products or chemicals. I thought it was pretty cool, I did some of the things... there's a lot of good ideas in here.

What works better and getting rid of acne scars bio-oil or coco butter/shea butter?
I have finally got my acne cleared up =D but I have some scars let on my face from them. I heard that bio-oil and coco butter works very well rom them but I wa wondering what one work the best or should I ue both? 10 points best answer =D
thanx in advanceWhat works better and getting rid of acne scars bio-oil or coco butter/shea butter?
Either... But... Buy a bottle of Vitamin E Oil and mix it in with the lotion of your choice and then apply it right before bed.
The combo of vitamin e and massage right before bed, the body's healing time, helps the skin regenerate better.
Do it every night and you should see a dif in a few weeks.
Personally, I use vitamin e oil in Clean %26amp; Clear Acne Medicated Lotion...
Then it keeps you clear AND heals the old stuff...What works better and getting rid of acne scars bio-oil or coco butter/shea butter?
have to agree with the vitamin E..it works great and it helps to add it to the lotion..but you should also try Ambi..which is fade cream..works really well Report Abuse
I would try the bio oil before I would try coco butter. I think coco butter says ';may'; help prevent scars (i.e.- stretch marks) BUT doesn't say it WILL.
I would buy something that is made for acne scars. It does take time and I would imagine you have to use it as often as it says to see any results. Typically without any type of treatment, some scars left behind can take up 6 months to start fading. I read that in a magazine.
The skin cell turn over has to be sped up.
Not sure by your screen name if you are a dude or not. But, you could buy a cover up (concealer) in the mean time while you are using the treatment. That way the spots aren't as noticeable. I don't see an issue with a guy wanting to hide their spots the same way a girl would.
Try putting a little dab of castor oil on each scar before you go to bed each night. Castor oil is completely natural and safe and has been used for preventing/removing stretch marks on pregnant women, removing scars, and a variety of other things. I have used it to remove lots of scars from acne and other things.
You can purchase castor oil at any health food store and some grocery stores.
I had bad acne and i went to the doctor about it, once it cleared up, i had scars like you said, and the doctor sent me to a dermatologist. The dermotologist mixed all this tropical curring stuff and gave it to me to put on my skin. the scars were gone in less then a week. so i recomend you go to a dermotologist before you try anything else
Coco Butter works really well for scars. Not only does it minimize the scars, it also evens out and smooths the area it's applied to, so if your scars were discolored or raised it will definently help. Good Luck!
I use Prefer On, because i used to have the same scars on my back. And now they are almost all gone. It looks a lot better. Try it. If not Mederma also works. I've used them both.
neither, you have to get a dermatologist to do an acid peel. it hurts but it works great

What type of facial is best for acne?
I want to try a facial before I use prescription meds for acne, but I don't know which one to ask for. What type of facial is best for acne?
Get Clear.now This is a 3 step system with a cleanser, toner and moisturiser. It's comparible to Pro-Active but it actually works. They will actually refund 100% of your money so you have absolutely nothing to lose. I would try this first because hey if you don't see results you can just get your money back. you can't buy it in stores but you can go to http://www.adrennan.qhealthbeauty.com and find it there. What type of facial is best for acne?
Don't take any drugs for acne.
Use a facial cleanser/soap for acne.(there's tons of shelves devoted to acne products)I prefer neutrogena or clearasil lines. any will do.
Buy a CLAY mask, any brand, cheaper the better, clay is clay. it dries out skin.
Nightly use clearasil acne gel on affected areas.
Try to stay away from high sodium(salt) foods %26amp; sugar.
A weekly facial steam as well.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_b/102-鈥?/a>
Also add ';primrose oil capsules'; to your diet.
Here's a secret from me to you...
I used to use all different kinds of facial regimens, and found that the best thing I ever used and still do is Asprin and lemon.
-Crush the asprin
-squeeze a little juice
-make a paste
leave on blimish over night
You shouldn't have anything there when you awaken.
Have you ever tried Aveeno. I use it for my acme. Always follow up any cleanser with mosturizer (mispelled, I think).
Use Clearasil. It clears up acne in less than a month if used daily.
im on pills for it too. one without enzymes. make sure u tell ur facilist what ur on theyll come up with somehing 4 u

How to get rid of age-old acne scars?
I am an African american who has had acne since I was in the 6th grade, and I didn't get treatment for it until I started high school. I, as of right now, am using Proactiv Solution and it seems to work.
I've been using the Proactiv Solution kit and vitamins that came in as a bonus, and my face is smooth, but the acne scars are still there from a history of picking and squeezing at them. Needless to say, I've learned that lesson the hard way. I really need a kind of remedy for the acne scars. Do you guys have any recommendations? How to get rid of age-old acne scars?

I currently have some light pigmented scars on my face from acne. They are not to dark either... I was wondering if anyone knows how I can eliminate these scars for good!!How to get rid of light pigmented acne scarring on face?

Some common methods of treat acne scars include laser resurfacing, dermabrasion, and chemical peels. You should consult with your dermatologist to choose the most suitable treatment for you.
If you want a less invasive treatment option, you may opt for a microdermabrasion, which effectively scrapes off a very thin layer of the skin. As a result, recovery time is shorter. Furthermore, you can also do it yourself at home.
If you have minor scars and skin blemishes due to acne, you may opt to use the Skin Blemish botanical Drops. This botanical formula gives your skin a boost in the natural healing process - a process that your skin may once have started, but never finished.
If your skin is responsive to the Skin Blemish Drops product, new skin cells will naturally and gradually replace your old skin cells, most of the time from the inside out. This gives you natural restoration throughout your blemished skin, the way your skin was intended to heal.

How do I get rid of my acne on my back?
I am a truck driver and can't always get a shower every day. My Dr. said to use dial soap, but it doesn't seem to make much of a diffance. How do I get rid of my acne on my back?
Use a product that contains salicylic acid...it still might take a few weeks for all of it to clear up.How do I get rid of my acne on my back?
Get your doctor to prescribe you accutane. Often they are reluctamt to do so, because there are possible side-effects, but believe me it works. I've never had clearer skin in my life.
Most of th acne on the back and arms is due to the following reasons.
1. Oily and fatty food
2. Dandruff in the hair
3. Lack Cleanliness/ lack of sleep
4. Tension and stress
You know that you have a tiring job. Try to take rest whenever possible. Have good sleep.
If you cannot have shower everyday, try. Taking shower takes only 5 - 10 mins. This will keep you fresh and stress free. The body will feel rejuvenated and acne will reduce.
Wash you hair with some good anti dandruff shampoo like Selsun or any other medicated shampoo.
While driving listen to some good soothing music as well. Loud music stress more. Light and soft music helps in regeneration of worn out cells.
Try eating more of Salads, vegetables and less oily food. If possible avoid fried stuff. Keep packets of nuts and fruits and vegetables like carrot and celery for snacking. They will clean the toxins from your system.
The above steps will help you in the acne problem too.
try some short meditations or 2 mins of laughter every now and then. See my blog for short meditations
YOU COULD POUR ACID ON IT.
They make a body wash just for this. You can find it in the aisle with all the other acne products.

If you鈥檙e looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne鈥?prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symptoms and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it鈥檚 advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

If you start acne treatments like AcneFree do you have to use it forever even into adult years?
or once you are done with puberty can you stop using it?If you start acne treatments like AcneFree do you have to use it forever even into adult years?
Over The Counter (OTC = non-prescription) acne treatment products are not habit or dependency forming, and are generally safe to use.
The worst risk is temporary skin irritation if a particular formulation were unsuited to your particular skin type. Unfortuantely, there is an element of trial and error involved to find the treatment which best suits your skin.
However, OTC products are only treating a symptom of a skin disease of which the root cause is a hormone imbalance - causing excess sebum (oil) production in the skin pores.
Such hormonal difficulties typically manifest during times of glandular adaptation (such as during puberty) and usually resolve themselves naturally (although this may take some years).
However, some cases of acne are stubborn and persist into adulthood.
The more serious forms (such as cystic acne) may even require prescription medications from a dermatologist.
Such prescription medications can have potentially dangerous side effects and should NEVER be taken except under qualified medical supervision. If you start acne treatments like AcneFree do you have to use it forever even into adult years?
Alison, Try eating non-greasy food. That got rid of my acne in 5 weeks.

I have acne and i use the spectro acne pads. what is a natural-non medicated way to ger rid of it? thanks. What is a natural way to get rid of acne?
If you really want to cure your acne naturally you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that's causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.
There are only few good Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to treat your acne from the inside.
Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their programs they share their valuable knowledge with other acne sufferers. Anyhow, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.
Check this article for honest and useful review about the top systems today that can help you a lot:

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.
Oxygen treatments work wonders.
There are two ways to deliver oxygen to your face. The first is an oxygen facial.
Oxygen calms inflammation, treats acne, kills bacteria, drives antioxidants and vitamins into the skin, and make your skin younger looking by providing oxygen to the skin cells.
I've tried a lot of medications before but haven't really help. As a last resort i choose natural remedies. I found that it has the real power of curing my acne. I've tried it and it really works for me, in less than one week you can already notice a lot improvement. I hope it helps you too.
Here's some natural/homemade remedies, with reviews.

My mother used to rub potatos on our faces to get rid of acne. it worked, but the potato is really gross. She also said that rubbing an eggplant on the face would help too. But I think that was just to make the potato seem more appealing.
Apply raw egg whites to the face leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water.Best to do in the morning.NO SOAP! EVERYDAY.
i know that it sounds gross but you should put raw egg yolk on the acne. eggs are full of vitamin E. it really will help. Good luck!

Check this article for honest and useful review about the top systems today that can help you a lot:
http://www.squidoo.com/Best-Acne-EbooksWhat is a natural way to get rid of acne?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

What age should acne start to fade away?
most adults i know not all but as you get older acne starts to fade, but what age did u notice it starting to fade for you? What age should acne start to fade away?
There is really no age that acne fades away. Some have it all of their lives, it depends on your genetics. What age should acne start to fade away?
Unfortunately, it can last until well into your 20's. I had terminal acne when I was in high school (I had it pretty bad -- the redness, all of it). It finally started getting better within the past few years, but there is still some lingering redness at times. And to make matters worse, conventional acne medications just never worked for me. You should definitely see a dermatologist, if you haven't already, but some of the harsher stuff I avoided because of some of the side effects (no joke -- one had a possible side effect of anal leakage -- no thank you).
I hope you find something that works, but realize that you're not alone in suffering with it.
Well for me, around 15. But keep in mind that everyone is different. I was an early bloomer. I still do have an occasional pimple on my face, and slightly more on my shoulders, but other than that, it has pretty much died down.
Remember to keep your face clean even if you don't get as many pimples as you used to. Use a gentle soap cleanser at least once a day, and exfoliants at least once a week.
Hope this helped!

Could clearasil ultra acne clearing gel wash get rid of my pimples?
I only have a little pimples here and there. I'm not sure if it's only used to treat zits.Could clearasil ultra acne clearing gel wash get rid of my pimples?
It is good to get a powerful face wash, as long as your not scrubbing at your face you can use it and it will get rid of them quite soon and you'll be left spot freee :)Could clearasil ultra acne clearing gel wash get rid of my pimples?
There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about.
It was even televised on TV.
It prevents future and existing acne, diminishes scars, and lightens skin and
blemishes. Fast results too! (It has been claimed that major results can be seen within a week and no later than two weeks)
Before and After photos are available at the given ebay site.
This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at:
Search up ';best acne solution ever'; on ebay. First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can buy the whole container for $160
It's expensive, but the product DOES work
My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.
I don't have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.
I hope this helps. =)
yup it worked for me
but it might dry out ur skin a bit so remember to moisturize

Is it OK to pluck facial hair because of acne?
I have some facial hair growing near my acne. I don't want to go over it with a razor for fear of messing up my acne/pimples by breaking them. Would it be wise to pluck the hair near my acne instead? Is it OK to pluck facial hair because of acne?
I am in skin care school right now. You can tweeze the hair around your acne, but if there is a hair in a follice of a pimple (or a pustule (has a white puss at the top)) Do not tweezers that. You could irritate the pustule (and the oil that forms inside the hair follice) and make matters worse. If the hair inside the pustule is getting longer i would just trim it with some small eye brow scissors. YOU SHOULD NEVER WAX over your acne. It will really stimulate the oil (the sebacous glands).
Hope this helps. You may want to see an estician in your area or dermatologist, to help you with your acne furter. Regualr facials and high frequency will def. help you. Or if you can't afford regular spa prices, go to a skin care school in your area, they usually charge half price for a facial. Is it OK to pluck facial hair because of acne?
just leave it alone!
a lot of guys get what looks like acne from shaving but they're actually ingrown hairs from having sensitive skin.
i don't think plucking would be a bad idea but you'll still get ingrowns. i'd probably get advise from a dermatologist not people online.
good luck,
it's sounds painful
Just do it. What could go wrong?
You can it will hurt but if there is acne under or near there hair it might just create more irritation.

Do you have very sensitive skin? What kind of acne cream can you use without irritating your skin?
i have very sensitive skin myself and i have tried clearasil and acnefree and they both severely irritated my skin. they made red blotches and dried it out. what do you use?Do you have very sensitive skin? What kind of acne cream can you use without irritating your skin?
try neutrogena or claritin, they should have cleansers that label ';for sensitive skin';. if you can't use acne cream, use cleansers instead. they clean up the oil and dead skin cells underneath, even though they don't work as well as acne cream, but they clean your clean up and prevents acne. plus they improve your skin texture.Do you have very sensitive skin? What kind of acne cream can you use without irritating your skin?
Hi i want to tel you what cure my acne problems
(1) if you have sensitive skin NEVER use chemicals product on your face cuz 99% it can irritate your skin, use ONLY natural product to cure your acne.
(2)If you have sensitive oily skin that is acne prone skin! so you need a cleanser to clean your oiliness and too NOT irritate you, after you need a tonic lotion that can normalizing your oil of your face the best is some astringent with hazel in it and with NOT alcohol in it this will clean your face more, after you need some really good BACTERIA KILLER CREAM yea baby lol (the cream MUST be oil-free and non-comedogenic and NATURAL!) after you need one moisturizer YES YOU NEED IT! cuz oily skin is super dry some times that can make acne terrible so the moisturizer must be the same with the cream oil-free and non-comedogenic and natural(o yea all the product must be for super sensitive face skin) that will help your acne :)
If you are in Europe country i know exactly what product you can take that is all of this i tell you tonic/cream/moisturizer the product name is Version !!!!! is better than proactiv and is all NATURAL for super sensitive oil acne skin. if you want for best results you can mix it with accutane pills and you are super clean from acne :)

Does anyone know of any products to clear up acne?
I have used Proactiv, but my acne is not that bad that I want to spend that much money every 2 months.Does anyone know of any products to clear up acne?
Best thing to do it stay away from sweets and drink lots of water. Avon has a product call clear skin that is pretty good at removing oil and build up without over drying your skin. Nuetregena acne wash is pretty good also. The key is to drink lots of water though. At least 8 glasses a day. It's better to use an astringent to wash your face rather than soaps. the soaps have color and scent chemicals added to them. Use hot water to open the pores, then use the astringent on a cotton ball to wipe away gunk. Cotton balls are in the dollar store.
Use pure cocoa butter as a moisturizer on your face. The lotions has too many chemicals in them.Does anyone know of any products to clear up acne?
LUSH baby face, coal face i use them and they great
My doctor recommended Head and Shoulders for acne and it worked. I like to use the Refresh shampoo.
If you wash your face with a cleanser with 2% salicylic acid and use a 10% benzoyl peroxide cream once a day you should be fine. This is what we use, and they work great.
Neutrogena Oil Free Cleanser and Clearasil cream are what I use. For a moisturizer, use something rich and gentle. There are tons of them out there. I use Burt's Bees Radiance Day Cream right now, but Aveeno products are also good and cost less.
Clean and Clear.
Works better than Proactiv.
egg yokes clear acne, dont ask me to much why but they do. try and do it a couple times a week just put it on like a mask, normally wait ten minutes or untill it hardness, its smells like a salid and feels really gross, and then make sure you wash your face regularly i use the dove clothes they work really good and soften. in about 3 weeks or the egg yokes you will start breakin gout noticibly less till eventually barly at all. i did it when i was younger and since then i seen a pimple maybe once every couple months. also in case you still are are sure about trying to i am a conmotoligist hair nails and facials, so i knwo my **** lol! good luck!
Clearasil, Oxy-10.
There are a lot of options. The one below - a natural acne cure - might be worth a look.
Proactiv works, but it takes a long time show it; plus your acne gets much worse before it gets better. This radio program has helped me in the past. Maybe you could find some use in their wisdom.

you can use a lot of clean and clear products , neutrogena, and Noxzema products
My daughters and I use clearsil and sea breeze to prevent acne.
Health food stores offers pills to prevent breakouts such as clearin.
A friend recently informed us that dandelion root and thistle pro prevents acne as well. She was told this by an Amish doctor. I understand they really have a lot of nice remedies.
If and when acne gets out of control, there is a presciption called clenia that works well. But...if you don't have insurance, it is also very expensive and it has a drying out effect to the skin if used for a long time.
I recently read an article that said that tea tree oil and lavender oil helps reduce the the healing time for pimples too.
Good luck!

What causes baby acne and how can I help clear it up?
What causes baby acne on my newborn (on his cheeks and chin), and how can I help it clear up? I give him a bath daily, but it doesn't seem to help. What causes baby acne and how can I help clear it up?
Newborn acne is caused by the excess hormones from the mother coming out of his skin, and nothing but waiting will make it go away. Please do not put any creams, oils, lotions, etc. on his skin...this will do nothing more than irritate it and cause him to be uncomfortable.
Also, a newborn baby does NOT need a bath every day. If you want to take a damp wash cloth and wring it out and wipe him off, that's recommended, but do not put him in the bathtub full of water. This will severely dry out his skin and cause his umbilical cord stump to stay moist, and it won't heal properly. What causes baby acne and how can I help clear it up?
hormones, and don't worry about it, it will go away...they all get it!
I always washed my daughter's face with just water, there skin is so different than ours.
Seriously don't worry about it. Enjoy the baby!!!
It's just a reaction to the air. It'll go away. Make sure he gets water.
You should take him to a pediatrician. It's too tough to answer this question without being able to see his face. Some babies are born with little acne-like bumps (can't remember what they're called) that will go away on their own. If it's eczema or dermatitis, it can be treated easily with over the counter hydrocortisone ointment. It could also be impetigo which is a bacterial skin infection. This would need a topical antibiotic. Again, a doctor should evaluate him.
One other thing...although you need to keep his bottom clean, you generally don't need to bathe a newborn daily. This can often be counterproductive because it causes his skin to dry out.
you give your baby a shot of hormones just before birth. This causes breast bumps, baby acne, and even a mini period in baby girls.
Give it a couple weeks and it will clear up on its own.
good luck.

What is a good moisturizer to use on my face while using Retin-A acne medicine?
I recently started using this acne medicine and my face is really dry and peeling (which is to be expected), I'm just wondering what can i use to alleviate it these problems a bit. What is a good moisturizer to use on my face while using Retin-A acne medicine?
I have really strong acne medicine too. The dermatologist recommended to me a lotion called CeraVe. It comes in a white and purple bottle and it is a rather big bottle, but I use it everyday and I love it. It really does help because I peel a lot. This lotion is not specifically for face so don't think you have the wrong kind if you find it. You can use it anywhere basically, which it is also good for if you have really dry skin.

Excluding pro activ its making my skin worse now and wrinkly im 15 and have had acne since 11-12.
so what other acne cleansers worked for you? st. ives? clean %26amp;clear? neutrogena? biore? What acne cleanser has worked best for you?
neutrogena for sure. neutrogena on the spot

I don't really have alot of acne, but sometimes i break out really bad. My mom bought me ';olay clarity';. it cleans out your pores and reduces your acne. It worked for me and i use it every day and i only get pimples once in a while now!!! Give it a try.
Serious skin care acne cleanser. They have it at Ulta. They actually have a whole kit for like $40. I have tried soo much stuff and nothing ever worked. Or if it worked it would only work at first then its like it had no effect anymore. I have been using serious skincare for over two years now and it rocks! In general though. . . you need to have good skincare habits. Never go to sleep with makeup on, keep all of your brushed clean, if you use a makeup sponge-change it once a week. Always wash face and moisturize as soon as you wake up and right before bed, at least. Philosophy has great products as well. . . buy trial sizes of stuff and use it all. Sometimes products take a while to work with your skin, and buying trial sized stuff will save money if you decide you dont like the product after a few weeks of use.
Neoutrogena because its available for almost all skin types like (oily, dry and normal), they even got a makeup line due to the fact that, there are powders and concealers out there that clog ur pores. They are recommended by Dermatologist. Even though it might be more pricey than other similar products they have been showing an improvement on my skin.
Neutrogena or ahava.
noxzema and eucerin
Go to a dermatologist. They can help you determine what might be causing your acne problem. Because a lot of the over the counter scrubs and soaps. They just dry out your skin which could do more damage in the long run. Also, the types of food and drinks you consume can cause break outs.

What is the cause of body pimples/acne and how do you get rid of them?
What body wash, diet, fluid etc? What is the cause of body pimples/acne and how do you get rid of them?
a good antibacterial soap like dial should do the job, or clearisil makes a body wash. What is the cause of body pimples/acne and how do you get rid of them?
acne along the jawline or in the t- zone , ie across forehead and nose
is usually caused by a hormone imbalance
whatever the cause do not use a harsh cleanser which works by stripping the body of its natural oil called sebum,
this mixed with the sweat produced by the skin forms the acid mantle ,
this acid mantle helps to keep the skin healthy and prevent infections and spots,
if you use a stripping cleanser the skin produces more oil to replace and the skin gets more oily and you cleanse more often and a vicious circle begins
cleanse with a pH neutral cleanser either cream or soap - your choice ,
if soap rinse and rinse and rinse as skin left on the skin promotes enlarged pores spots etc
after cleansing put on cosmetics if you wear them then do not touch your skin at all ,
your hands are in contact with dirt all day and you must not transfer onto skin
eat a healthy diet with lots of natural food and unhealthy stuff in moderation
drink lots of fluid , water preferably and stay away from fizzy drinks
fresh air good for skin so a walk in fresh air if poss
if living in a congested area cleanse three times daily instead of twice but - Gently
its the dirt inside your skin. just wash ur face withe a really hoy tile. apply to those spots first. it must be really hot. i dont use and skin care. make shure it is really hot.
caution: get used to it before u apply it directly to that spot.
I dont know the cause but I found that there is this special kind of body wash (sorry I cant remember the name of it) that has acne stuff. And let me add it helps reduce the body acne.
It could be diet. See the source below for information on food for healthy skin.

My skin is also not very even toned (a teensy reddish in some places) I have used proactive and acne free and I moisterize daily, drink lots of water, and take vitamins. But it isen't doing much. witch hazel on a cotton ball rub it on your face every night before you go to bed do thenext step once put honey on your face then rub salt on it and rub a lime on it in that exact order about 30 seconds between each leave it on there them on there until you're finished then wipe it off with a hot waschcloth
i'm surprised proactive didn't work it worked so well with my mom another reason for acne is touching your face because of the oils on your hands so don't touch your face or let anyone else touch it. Also maybe your pillow is dirt that also effects acne so change your pillow case often. That's all i know i hope it helps
Hi,
I totally know where you're coming from. I struggled with really, really bad acne about 2 years ago. Intially I tried tetra-cyclin and retin-a. However, my skin got freakishly dry and I started getting a weird rash on my face.
I quickly stopped taking them and tried Proactive. That sure was a waste of money. I finally started showering directly after the gym and found that this helped tremendously. I also tried a free product I got on the net called Beautiful Skin. Believe it or not, it worked way better than the prescription stuff! I only paid $4.95 for shipping for a month supply. I re-ordered and I use it to make sure I don't get back my zits. It also has tea tree oil which feels really good on my skin.
Here's the link if you want to get it, I think it's the best thing I've ever bought for the price $4.95

Good Luck!
I had horrendous acne for a long time, I only have found one thing that could get me 100% clear. What worked so well for me was a dr. gave me doxycycline to take daily. It is a low dose antibiotic that works miracles for bad skin. There are different causes and types of acne, but for most cases, antibiotics are necessary.
I also use Retin-A to get rid of the scars that I have had from previous acne. Sometimes it can be 8months to a year for all of the scarring to go away. What remains thereafter you would have to speak to a dermatologist about.
I have tried proactiv, washes, herbal remedies, tea tree oil etc.. The list goes on and on, but NOTHING worked until I tried to go the antibiotic route.
Good luck
I am struggling with acne too. I have sometimes found this helpful:using swedish bitters topically...It's a natural product. Also for me Avene thermal extreme tolerance products worked well and helped me.
Only use soap with a PH of 5.5 this neutralizes the skin and removes oils with out damaging the skin. If it doesn't state the PH don't buy it.
I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn鈥檛 use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured鈥f we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don鈥檛 want us to know.
There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.
i struggled with mild acne like you are describing. I tried ever thing ever made and most things did not work.
I have had it under control for a couple of year and I did the following:
Use a soap free cleanser like Cetaphil or Purpose and then use a Benzo Peroxide product. Remember, more is not better. It will just irritate the skin and make it look worse. Use a light layer. I also got a low dose antibiotic - minocycline from my doctor. I used it for about 3 months.
After I too was left with some minor scarring. I use vitamin E and over time they have faded. I also use Neutrorgena MicroBrasion and this has even out my skin.
One thing I use for glow - Origins Never a Dull Moment. I use this about 3x week and LOVE IT!
There are some useful tips here.
Before you treat your acne scars, it is imparitive that you get rid of all your acne FIRST. If you start trying to treat the scars before getting rid of all your acne, you will make your condition worse and agitate your skin!
What kind of vitamins are you taking? Taking the wrong vitamins can help from pimples. There is a great article about what vitamins to take here: http://www.theknowguide.com/vitamins-acn鈥?/a>

There is a great article about what vitamins to take here: http://www.theknowguide.com/vitamins-acn鈥?/a>
DO you have any homeade remedies for acne?
Im doing a chemistry science project about natural cures for acne and I was wondering if you the public could give me some heads up on your own natural homade remedies so I could look further into which chemicals and substances I should further research. Thank you for all your help and the one with the best homeade remedy will receive best answer!DO you have any homeade remedies for acne?
It would just be too easy... and I'd get a violation... Come on guys, you know what I meanDO you have any homeade remedies for acne?
try milk and lemon this really works i have tried it!! it will smell abit but do u want a clear face or not?
first put one spoon of milk and then hafe of the lemon and mix well, use a cotton wool to apply on your face . put this at night before u go to bed or u can let it dry and wash it off.....
also try rose water to help your face look fresh and clear of marks... u get the rose water from any herbal shop!!! apply ones in a day with cotton wool cover all of the face.
i hope this works 4 u :)
Turmeric powder and sandal wood paste can be used for treating acne (local application).
a rubber mask
When i get a break out i use toothpaste on it...
try aloe vera....from the plant. cut it open and smear the juice on your zits.
Try putting toothpaste right on the break out. If you have a little extra money order Pro active (that stuff on tv.) it really works!! I've been using it for 4 years and nothing even compairs! By the way put the tp on at night when you go bed and wash it off in the morning. It dries the blemmish out. It doesn't work off blackheads though. Good luck!
soap, water, and wash cloth, and scrub scrub, day and night every day
Yeah I have one (my mom told me about it), you mix some sea salt with soap and put it on your face (rubbing it in), keep it there for about 15 mins and then rinse. It's like a simple scrub :)
Sea salt + water, dab it on the blemishes with a Qtip before bed time. When you wake up, they'll be half as big.
Or you can get the same result with tea tree oil.
Well I have one but you might not want to use it. I know it sounds gross but it works. I havent done it because I have never has problems with acne but I know 12 women that have done it. Okay....you wipe your face with your own....urine. SOunds gross right?!!?!?!? Well the results are shocking lol
For my pimples I put toothpaste on them for like 4 hours and then wipe it off. it usually works
I don't know if you would consider this a home made remedy but since I first started getting pimples I have also put toothpaste on them at night. It has to be the paste though and not the gel. You just put enough to cover the pimple go to bed and wash it off. The pimple will be gone or really small.
I used to use lemon juice, as it dries the pimple out...

UV light is supposed to help. Alas, I cannot confirm this having beautifully smooth skin myself.

well i have been on every medication from accutane to plenty of creams. None or which worked. And accutane has very bad side effects which was why i had to stop (liver cell damange)
I'm currently doing Acne Laser Treatments ($100 a treament) and Acid peels($80 a bottle, at home treatments). Its pretty pricey but MUCH worth it. My mom has had the micro dermabrasion and said its very painful and she didnt get the results she wanted.
I also put Retina-A cream on in between treaments. I'm not sure how much the cream costs because my insurances covers it.
hope that helps you a little.

I know the acne is supposed to take a few months, but as far as other side effects like I hear breast swelling...how long did It take you to notice that? How long until I feel the effects of the pill - like boob growth or acne reduction?
Most women don't experience breast growth with taking the pill.
But acne will usually get better after 3 months of taking the pill. How long until I feel the effects of the pill - like boob growth or acne reduction?
Few get breast growth, and I think it's usually part of general weight gain, but it would take a few weeks/months as well. Acne is about 3 months depending.
I remember as a teenager taking birth control just for boob growth. Too bad it never worked. I just had sore **** for a few months.
Maybe as early as a month.
mine did in the first month. I didnt gain weight either..i lost about 10lbs. Its different for everybody though

Topical steriods can help, but they can elevate your eye pressures a lot and cause glaucoma, so should not be taken for long periods.
you can either put on hydrocortisone cream which will take a couple of days concealer %26amp;%26amp; foundation if you need it in a hurry.
try some tips from here http://epictureperfect.net/cure_blemishe鈥?/a>
handheld microdermabrasion kit is best to use.
hydro cortisone is truly like a cure all for most skin problems. However, be aware that this is a topical steroid and your body produces it as well. If you constantly use it for extended periods of time in an area, your body may stop producing it naturally which may complicate your life even more.
solution: black licorce mild skin lightening soap and/or dermaline skin whitening cream for dark skin spots.
it's safe without the harmful effects of hydroquinone, mercury or steroid.
It depends person to person but in my experience, if you eat alot of junk then you will look that was because when your body burns off those toxins it seeps through the skin and clogs pores, but when you do exchange that bag of chips for a couple of apples remember the body takes time to repair itself so give it time at least 3 weeks, also you can try over the counter products like ACNE-FREE some stores sell it for $15.00 but even then it is not an overnight miracle you have to give it time to work. Good Luckwrite c program in which you are

What do you think is the best acne face wash?
Hi!
I recently bought Clearasil Ultra face wash to help with my acne. It seemed to be working well at first, but after a couple of days it made my face feel tight and left my skin dry and flaky.
What do you find is the best face wash to help relieve acne that doesn't give any skin irritations?
Thanks! What do you think is the best acne face wash?
It depends on your skin... my moms a dermatologist and I used to have some acne. One thing that you typically cant go wrong with is Benzoyl Peroxide. It is used in lots of acne systems but is about 1/ 10th the price. You can typically pick this up at a Pharmacy or any type of skin treatment center. I personally tend to use 10% Peroxide other than 5% but if your new to it start low and work your way up. One thing I would not recommend is home remadies such as toothpaste and other ';acne solutions';.. they really dont do anything but make it worst. If you have any questions speak to a pharmasist or Dermatologist about your skin and they should help you even moreWhat do you think is the best acne face wash?
If you're looking for the wash least likely to cause a reaction, I would check out the Mary Kay TimeWise line. It works for just about everyone, and very few people react to it.
Personally, I like more of a scrub, so I use St. Ives Invigorating scrubs. I feel cleaner, less oily, when I use it.
Any wash will cause your face to dry down and tighten, so be sure to moisturize. Also, make sure you are using the right formula for your skin--using a wash designed for oily skin if you have dry skin (and vice versa) will not bring satisfying results.
I am personally a big fan of the Dermalogica Anti-bacterial face wash, it lasts for ages too. I found Clearasil and Proactiv dried my skin and caused irritation. Everyone is different though, it is trial and error.
use it, then moisturise, but usually dry skin means the spots are clearing up

not acne scars, but the dark spots that acnes leave behind. i need to how to get rid of them even if it coast a fortune !! ok maybe not that much but around 100 ?What the best thing to get rid of dark acne spots?
Vitamin E Oil: It removes the dark acne scars and the acne itself. Thus giving you clear and even tone (one shade) complexion. You can get it at the dollar store (Family Dollar) for like $2. The higher the I.U. the faster it works, Like I bought the 4,000 IU bottle but Walgreen's have 30,000 I.U., it just means its more potent.
I swear buy it!
You can use Meladerm too..I don't feel like typing about it just know it works and follow this link!

I've had severe acne myself, try looking for more information on any acne website, like this one for example:

Is there an acne treatment (like cream or liquid) that does NOT use benzoil peroxide?
I think I might be breaking out even more because of it.Is there an acne treatment (like cream or liquid) that does NOT use benzoil peroxide?
Glytone. Best. Stuff. Ever.
It cleared my skin in a week, and now, 4 months later, I still have crystal clear skin! It's not cheap, but it's worth it, and it works. There is obviously no cheap over-the-counter skin product or everyone would have clear skin. This is formulated with glycolic acid, and it will transform your skin to brand new. It's amazing, I suspect it's a celebrity secret.
You can buy it online, at a dermatologist's office who carries the line, or at a cosmedical spa. I found it through yahoo local by typing in glytone.
ps- the first week will be irritating (some burning and stinging) while your skin builds a tolerance for glycolic acid, but it's worth it.Is there an acne treatment (like cream or liquid) that does NOT use benzoil peroxide?
Yes, read the labels carefully. Some use Salicylic acid instead which many people find less irritating. I believe Almay uses it in their products.
there are some, but they are prescription only i think
Yes! There is even an organic solution to it! Many products contain toxic chemicals that may further clog pores and irritate skin. Don't use chemicals on your face, you don't really know what it can cause to your body.
You can try this certified organic Purifying Blemish Gel which uses organic herbs https://kellylovesorganic.mionegroup.com/product/11502
I've never used this gel before, but I'm currently using the Balancing skin care range and I love it! My pores are smaller and my skin feels more 'relaxed'. My acne is doesn't break like it used to.
Try it!
You could use Proactiv, which uses salicyclic acid instead of benzoyl peroxide, as does St. Ives acne scrub for sensitive skin. Also, I found Tea Tree Oil or products containing Tea Tree oil effective for me when benzoyl peroxide gave me an allergy.

Which is the better path for getting rid of acne?
I think ive used about every possible way of getting rid of acne except for proactiv and going to some doctor about it...i hav the WORST possible acne in the world!! it is just impossible to get rid of it, and its not like i eat junk food all day too
anyway wat do u guys suggest that i do to get rid of this hideousness?Which is the better path for getting rid of acne?
Don't pick at your acne, this will just push bacteria deeper into your skin and could cause scaring.
Get some Clearasil Ultra face wash or some similar product. You don't have to spend a lot of money. Wash your face twice a day. Don't touch your face unless you are washing it. Excessive touching of the face, will introduce bacteria and this will cause more acne.
Avoid carbs, and sugary foods. These foods will cause insulin spikes and this will cause the body to produce excess Sebum, the oil that accumulates on the face.

I've used Proactiv, and it kinda worked, but it took a while to start working and it took over a year to figure out how often to use all the products. I've used tons of acne products; have you tried Clearasil Ultra? It's really great. Drink lots of water, too, and apparently taking vitamin C helps acne heal faster. Make sure you moisturize as well. If you're a girl, try using foundation (Revlon Colorstay liquid and powder foundation is really good; lightweight, long lasting, great coverage, and doesn't cause acne-- just make sure you wash your face before you go to bed).
If you have an oily skin wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the pimples like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. If you have a dry skin honey is a great remedy for acne and pimples because the honey kills bacteria. If you have a combination skin when you wash your face, use sugar to scrub it, at least once a day, for two weeks to rid yourself of acne.Try http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/ for more info.
DO NOT USE HOME REMEDIES!!!! everyone has different skin types and just trying random stuff is not a good idea. You should check out a dermatologist there they can let u know what type of skin you have. If you want to get meds form them you can. I had acne and the meds they gave me didn't work for me just dried out my skin... There is a new acne treatment from clean and clear that may work for you. You buy the full set exfoliates wash scrub toner get into a normal routine and it will go away!!write c program in which you are
anyway wat do u guys suggest that i do to get rid of this hideousness?Which is the better path for getting rid of acne?
Don't pick at your acne, this will just push bacteria deeper into your skin and could cause scaring.
Get some Clearasil Ultra face wash or some similar product. You don't have to spend a lot of money. Wash your face twice a day. Don't touch your face unless you are washing it. Excessive touching of the face, will introduce bacteria and this will cause more acne.
Avoid carbs, and sugary foods. These foods will cause insulin spikes and this will cause the body to produce excess Sebum, the oil that accumulates on the face.

What's the best foundation for covering acne/acne scars and large pores?
I need a good foundation for covering my skin during my breakouts.
One that's going to cover scars as well, which are more difficult to conceal. And also, lately the pores on my cheeks have become visible. Any suggestions? %26lt;3What's the best foundation for covering acne/acne scars and large pores?

I have the same problem. I have acne scars, and mild acne. I use Bare Mineral makeup by Maybelline New York. It covers really well and seems to last all day! They also have the Bare Minerals in blush too, in case you want to try that as well. Be careful with this product though... if you put too much on the brush, the minerals can fall off and get on clothes. It wont stain or anything, but it can leave little marks on dark shirts or jeans until you wash them.
Bare Minerals makeup because it's natural :)

What are the long term side effects of rinsing your face with alcohol, to help fight acne?
My buddy had a mild break out on his face when I saw him. I saw him again two days later and his face was clear. He told me what he did was wash his face to open the pores, and then he rinsed his face with alcohol. His clear skin was evidence that this works, but what are the long term side effects? What are the long term side effects of rinsing your face with alcohol, to help fight acne?
alcohol will dry your face out after time isuggest proactive and daily oatmeal masks to draw out the bacteriaWhat are the long term side effects of rinsing your face with alcohol, to help fight acne?
This is a bad idea.
Alcohol strips your skin of all moisture. This will make your face put out more oil, and it harms it by robbing it of the oils it needs.
Wash with mild soap and clean water. Rinse well, with water. Follow up with toner or astringent (on a cotton ball, not splashing your face with it) to cut excess oil.
Use a topical cream for problem areas and use moisturizer a lot.
Long term side effects of rinsing with alcohol are bad. Ask a dermatologist if you want to know. I never found out what might happen because that's not something I would do.
I knew a girl who did this for years - she used surgical alcohol - she never had a problem. She was from a poor family in a developing country where acne medication wasn't easy to get.
careful your eyes are exposed to chemical induced imfalammation
Alcohol dries the skin, casing it to become irritated. The dryness may trigger an overproduction of oil, and more breakouts. If you want to use alcohol, follow up with a non-comedogenic moisturizer.
Nothing. Maybe a little dryness but that's all. Alcohol is the major component to after shave.
Severe dry skin is more prone to permanent scars. If he uses a moisturizer once a day he should be okay.
Alcohol can make your skin dry, which then encourages further oil production (sebum), and further outbreaks. Well worth a shot though!
The downside to using rubbing alcohol on the face to control acne is that it dries skin and upsets the pH balance, and the normal skin flora. Dry skin breaks out as bad or worse than oily skin. When your buddy washed his face, the pimples likely drained all by themselves- and a pimple that drains itself does heal faster and better, and doesn't cause new ones to form. The alcohol temporarily killed some of the bacteria, but it also would have dried his skin. If he does this on a regular basis, he can look forward to more zits and some really dry skin. As an acne control method it's not ideal. Plain soap and water, witch hazel to wipe and rinse, and tea tree oil directly to spots is better. Heat applied directly to a spot will help it drain as well. Your skin doesn't appreciate potions or poking, and it doesn't need the help. And food for thought- alcohol does kill bacteria, but it also kills skin cells. Anything strong enough to kill bacteria is not really good in large quantities on the skin. Bleach will also kill bacteria, but you'd never dream of wiping your face with it. Alcohol isn't a lot better for it either.
dryness and/or irritation
excessive dry skin
eventually your eyes fall out of your head and your nose will look like michael jackson.
