Acne is a bacteria that needs to be killed. Witch Hazel is also works great.. it is a little smelly, but you can use a cotton ball or wash cloth. It will tke away the oiliness. `Tea Tree Oil will kill out the bacteria or weaken it enough not to bother you. Apply it to the effected areas with a q-tip or cotton ball after you have washed.
You should get a good multivitamin(highly suggest) with vitamin a,c,e,d and zinc.. this should help tons! Eating carrots also helps.. there is beta-carotene (Vitamin A) in them which helps prevent acne and repair the skin. Take zinc, zinc is a antibacterial agent. Make sure to dink plenty of water and get good rest at night.
Azelaic Acid is a great natural acid that reduces the growth of bacteria, restores the skins cells and reduces inflammation. Try using a topical with Azelaic Acid in it.. it is safe.
Also, change/wash your pillow case and sheets every other day.
There are ways to put moisture back into your skin and heal it, such as: drinking lots of water, making sure you are eating enough fat/omega-3 oils. Lotions with mineral oil can dry out the skin, use one with out it! Emu Oil ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emu_oil ) contains vitamin A and E, Sapogens ( makes skin softer), and Oleic acid (a skin cell regenerator, anti-wrinkel agent) - walgreens sells emu oil.. i would think walmart would as well.How do i get rid of embarrassing body acne?
I have had acne on my back, chest forearms etc. I gone on a lot of cures (like Potassium permanganate, roaccutane, tetracycline and the list goes on...)
after years of going on doctors choice of meds, i figured out that sugar and fat(all the unhealthy foods) where the trigger to acne. before when i drank a few pints of coke, my face would start scratching and acne would appear after a few hours.
Just reacently i was on a vacation and ate I loads of sugar and sweets for one week, and that made my acne come back and stayed for a few weeks after that.
Stay of sugar and junk food at all costs, eat veggies, take your vitamins. Sun is also very good. Acne comes from a bad diet. Everyone responds differently to ';bad food';.
Most people think its cleanliness, but that's wrong. its diet, using loads of acne creams and scrubbing your body everyday will only dry out your skin and make it worse.
To sum up
No junk food and sugar(stay of fried foods, limit your soda needs to 1-2glasses a week or less, preferably none at all, same goes for candy, donuts chips etc. you have to sacrifice junk food to get rid of acne)
Don't use to many acne creams and scrubs(or any at all, just wash your body with soap)
Healthy foods and vitamins (fish, veggies, cob liver oil..)
I had acne it was so embarrassing!
