I wish it was my chin or forehead, but its my nose, dead center in my face. When the pimples go away they scar, and the scars stay for months and sometimes years. When I wake up in the morning this area of my face is always oily, how can I stop this?I have acne that mostly appears next to my nose and on my nose, how can I stop the oiliness?
Acne is caused by genetics. If one of your parents have oily skin, the chances that you'll have oily skin is high. You should buy some salicylic acid face wash and pimple creams. Wash your face at least twice a day with the face wash.
Don't squeeze or touch your pimples, it can cause scarring. The scars won't go away for several years (I had mine for three years). Just put pimple cream on the pimple whenever you get one.I have acne that mostly appears next to my nose and on my nose, how can I stop the oiliness?
Wash your face daily with a Face Soup which you can find in hotels or most stores.

Do you guys think that chocolate can make acne worse?
I know that most doctors say that diet does not effect acne, but It seems that everytime I eat something chocolate like ice cream or brownies, I break out with deep, painful, huge acne. Not only that, but these things take weeks to completely heal. Might this be a coincidence or does this happen to you too?Do you guys think that chocolate can make acne worse?
it could be personal, like an allergic reaction you have. doctors also told me that my psoriasis had nothing to do with diet, but i stopped eating certain foods and my condition improved a lot. so it could be related, but no one can say for sure.Do you guys think that chocolate can make acne worse?
Same here.Lately ive been wondering the same thing. And therefore ive been trying it out.And so it seemes to be.When i eat even one chocolate bar, i can see the difference in a few days.
And where have you heard that doctors say that diet wont affect you skin? That is so wrong. Its all about eating healthy. You can see a healthy person by its skin condition.
And this is an old truth that chocolate is bad for you sking.
ok well this may sound crazy but i have acne and my mum is really pissing me off about it but.. she said to me.. look at wat you eat. bcoz in everyone sumthing makes them break out..
soo she said to me.. to look at wat i ate. and im beginning to think its chocolate.. for my mum it peanuts.. and well yeah she was right about it.
and my brother told me it doesnt have to be food to make you break out.. he breaks out from sunscreen on his face.
so yeah just look at wat you eat, esp chocolate (for sum odd reason)
and yeha its really hard bcoz like.. you eat like plenty of foods at the same time and sum times pimples dont show till like after a few days..
soo just look at wat you eating you'll be fine.
:)
good luck

How long until Proactiv works on back/shoulder acne?
I bought the Proactiv for my boyfriend and its been about a week. He's VERY impatient in waiting for results and am just wondering if you've used it for the same area how long it took to see results. It seems to be smoother but now bigger ones are coming in, has it irritated anybody's skin or made it worse?
Also will the mask work on the back or is it just for the face? How long until Proactiv works on back/shoulder acne?
Well i personally don't care for Proactiv, i've tried it before and it irriated and dried my skin out. I switched to Murad Products they are very good, and they also work on the back as well. You can visit their site at www.murad.com or you can have your boyfriend go to a dermatologist. Have the doctor to prescibe some medication orally and it will clear up his skin from the inside out, it worked for my exboyfriend whose back was covered it zits. Within a couple of months his whole back was completely cleared up.
Acne Body WashControls body breakouts and gently exfoliates 8.5 FL. OZ. | $39.50 Why you need it:
Controls body breakouts and ';bacne'; through gentle exfoliation
Primary Benefits:
Exfoliates to keep pores clear
Reduces redness and irritation
--------------------------------------鈥?br>
Clarifying Body Spray Why you need it:
Treats body breakouts and ';bacne'; on contact with a revolutionary 360 spray.
Primary Benefits:
Heals existing blemishes and prevents new ones
Kills surface bacteria
4.3 FL. OZ. | $37
I hope this helps you out :)How long until Proactiv works on back/shoulder acne?
Usually a medication treatment will make the future pimples come to the surface of the skin, and then work from there. So it is normal for the first two weeks to have the face look worse.
However, ProActive DOES NOT work. Its burns your face, and does not help the blemishes one bit.
Don't buy it anymore, look for something different.

What product do you recommend for cleansing/treating acne on the face?
Clean%26amp;Clear, Neutrogena, Proactive? What do you use/what works for you? What product do you recommend for cleansing/treating acne on the face?
I received procactive for xmas and so far it's making my skin WAY worse. I use it like it says too. Neutrogena is great if your skin is very sensitive. I personally love St. Ives scrub lines. What product do you recommend for cleansing/treating acne on the face?
go to your docter and get percription medication. i have been on menocyclin, biniclyn, and differen for one month and all my zitsare gone except one!
Clean and clear...but I have not tried proactive so I can't speak for that brand.
I use clean and clear's make-up removing cleanser, continuous control acne cleanser at night followed by the deep cleaning astringent and in the morning I wash with morning burst facial cleanser followed by morning glow moisturizer.
proactive is a good one too.
I recommend Clear.now Which contains salicylic acid and sodim chlorite
I have tried all of those products and then some, including antibiotics. The product that I have found that works for me is Born to Be Mild from dermadoctor.com It's kind of pricy, but a very small amount does the trick and it's worth it to have clear skin and not having to buy something different every week or so because what I bought was making the breakouts worse. They also have a lot of other great products and tips. (no, I don't work for them, just a very satisfied customer!)

How do I heal an open sore from acne?
I had a pimple and I popped it about a week ago. Now, it's an open sore and has been for a good many days. What are some things I can do to get rid of it and help cover it up until it goes away? How do I heal an open sore from acne?
Wash your face with warm, soapy water and only pat it dry. You can use a really small amount of Polysporin on it.How do I heal an open sore from acne?
keep it clean and try to find an acne cleanser that also doubles as a cover up. you can buy (although it's kind of expensive) something called Physicians Formula make-up. If it's red, they sell a make-up powder that is green. I know it sounds funny, but I use it sometimes when my face gets splotchy. Also try putting a hot tea bag on your acne spot. It will draw out what is left and reduce the swelling.
I was just going to ask this!
I have found if you put triple antibiotic ointment on it. which you can find at like a drug store.
it speeds the healing process.
however i am looking for an even faster way.
hope this helped.

you can buy a prodcut that is a clear liquid band-aid. i believe it's at target. then you could probably just cover it up with make-up yo.
-and i'm not gay just for the record.
I ice it with one ice cube, do it at nigh because the coldness sometimes makes your face red for a couple minutes. To cover it up use liquid foundation just on the trouble spot then powder you whole face
let it heal... try not to cover it with makeup although i know thats hard not to. Try vitamin e or an over the counter antibiotic cream.
Put some Neosporin on it while you sleep, then mix some lotion with your concealer and put that over it during the day.
clean and clear and under control,.
proactive,
notrigina, or whatever it's callled
Antibiotic cream like Neosporin
1st.. stop popping them unless you like scars.
2nd. wash it out with peroxide and then put a sterile dressing on it. ( a band aid will work it put on right.
urin
asfda
naturally or it will leave a big scar.
mix some hot sauce with pepper...put it over sore for about an hour. works wonders.
sunshine and dont touch it

How do I use the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment?
The little tube. I do not think i have been using it right and i was also wondering how long it may take for my acne to be completely gone. Also, is it for single pimples only or can it be used for the entire effected area? Thank you.How do I use the Clean %26amp; Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment?
I can only say this. Avoid food that is too spicy and oily. So, no french fries!!! And make it a point to change your pillow cover on a regular basis. And keep your towel clean. Use some disinfectant like Savlon while washing it. Use a good facewash suitable for your skin type and preferably a good astringent. Eat a lot of green veggies. The importance of eating fresh fruits and vegetables can never be overstated. Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily. Cut down your intake of coffee and dairy products. Eat food that is rich in fiber, so that your bowel movements are regular. Eating a few bananas should help. Sleep on time. Have patience. You should see improvement in a few days. Wish you luck.

Can I use an oil free moisturizer with acne wash?
Ok, so I tried my acne wash with an anti-acne moisturizer. It worked for a while, but the moisturizer didn't really help, and my skin started flaking anyway. So can I just use an oil free moisturizer with my acne wash? Will this make my face not peel? Can I use an oil free moisturizer with acne wash?
You can use an oil free moisturizer with an acne wash. I like Neutragena Oil Free Moisturizer. If this doesn't help, the acne wash probably has too high a level of benzoyl peroxide for your skin. Try finding a cleanser that is made for sensitive skill with a lower percentage of benzoyl peroxide.

Will a powder that is lighter than my skin tone actually is just make my acne moer noticable?
I am pretty fair, but have recently gotten to almost a medium/tan shade because of summertime. I am still using a fair powder. Will the fair powder cover up more of my acne, or will a darker shade that is the actual shade of my face be better? Will a powder that is lighter than my skin tone actually is just make my acne moer noticable?
First, u have to find a liquid foundation which is as close as possible to your skin tone. Try Loreal true match liquid foundation. Its super blendable, non oily and needs no touch up. Then, use a bit of concealer and dab it at ur acne spots. Blend them well, so that they wont look like white spots. Next step, use a light powder to touch up.The powder must be a level darker than the foundation, so that u wont look too 'white'.Will a powder that is lighter than my skin tone actually is just make my acne moer noticable?
A darker shade would be better because you don't want to look like a ghost. If you are just looking to set your foundation I would use a translucent powder. But if you want to cover acne use a medicated concealer and powder that matches your skin tone. So, I would get powder that matches your skin tone. Good Luck!!

I heard acne is increased by certain foundations, does the same go for this one?
I have heard that foundation will actually increase acne. Does the same go for powder foundations? I use Loreal Bare Naturals, is this safe to use on my face?I heard acne is increased by certain foundations, does the same go for this one?
You need a foundation that says ';Non-comodegenic'; that means it won't clog pores and cause breakouts.I heard acne is increased by certain foundations, does the same go for this one?
This isn't true. If you have acne maybe a brand may cause it or make it worse for some people, but not for all who use that same brand. It's a matter of finding one that works for you. For example, a person with oily skin may have acne, but a person can have oily skin without acne. You just have to watch how your skin reacts to the L'Oreal. If you have breakouts, then you will need to try a different foundation. Also, people often think that foundation causes clogged pores but this isn't really true. Dirt and bacteria are floating in the air, so as soon as a person goes outside they are exposed to it. That's why it's important to cleanse your skin regularly, whether you wear makeup or not.
A lot of foundations, including some mineral foundations, WILL clog your pores. Loreal Bare Naturales is included in this list of foundations that WILL clog your pores. this is because many foundations, including some mineral foundations, have an ingredient called Bismuth Oxycholoride. This ingredient not only clogs your pores, but it also can cause skin irriation. Other mineral foundations include other ingredients that will clog your pores%
All foundation has the potential to cause acne if it's not washed off at the end of the day, but beyond that, it varies from person to person because of their sensitivities and allergies. No foundation breaks EVERYONE out, so if you've been using L'Oreal Bare Naturals and it hasn't given you acne, then keep using it because you're fine. Hope that helps! Good luck!
That will depend on your skin.
No one reacts the same to all foundations.
For me, that foundation burned my skin due to the bismuth oxychloride.
For others with acne, they have found this foundation to not clog their pores.
The only reason a foundation can cause acne is if it has ingredients that are well known to clog our pores, or that your skin is allergic to.
powder base foundations are usually used to set a liquid foundation if you need coverage on your face try using a water based foundation such as maybelline pure makeup then try setting it yes a mineral based powder the reason some foundations cause worse acne is cause there oil based and can clog the pores even more. hope this helps a bit but by just using powder your not gonna be covering up all that much
I heard powder will also clog your pores.
Unless the makeup is a mineral powder.
But everyone's skin is different, all you can do it try it out and see what works for you.
Probably not.. it sounds like it's cheap. NEVER USE COVERGIRL! It has the worst quality of all makeup brands becuase it's cheap. Estee Lauder and bareMinerals are good quality brands and not too costly.
as long as it is mineral based you are fine. but if ou have acne you might want to try a foundation such as Neutrogena skin clearing to get rid of it
Foundation clogs the pores.
Powder is ';safer'; to use on acne prone skin.

Natural acne treatment is one of the best ways to safely and effectively remove acne from the skin. Natural product works because it addresses the root cause and not just the symptoms.
Healing times are a bit longer when dermabrasion is used-usually 2-3 weeks, depending on how much skin was removed. However skin will be red and swollen after treatment and healing may take weeks.
Make up! And there are some over the counter scar healing meds that are used on scars after surgery... that could work just ask your dermo first. Sometimes it just takes those things time to go away :(
Exfoliate a few times a week to keep your skin fresh and that could help.
Trust me...
You should use herbal cream like Zenmed Scar and Hyperpigmentation Treatment:

Try mixing honey, lemon juice and a little warm water in a bowl. Keep it on your face for about 15-20 minutes. My face is so clear now. I also started taking zinc, pantothenic acid, vitamin c and omega 3. Try to reduce the amount of dairy in your diet. All those things really cleared up my skin. Check out my pic on my 360 page. Hope this works for you!
I know avacado is great for the skin.

Please tell me. It really hurts and its all around my mouth and nose. Its red and it looks like its peeling. Ive tried aloe gel and covering it up with bandaids. What else should I do?I used Acne Free the face cleaner and i've started to get bad skin irritation around my mouth. How can i cure?
Hi Spidey,
I know what you mean,About a month ago, I started using acnefree. My skin was extremely dry.It has gotten better now since i have been using Jan Marini Skin Research in Teen Clean.Acnefree has way too many chemicals. My advice is to go buy a Neutrogena acne cleanser and lotion.
Glad I could help!I used Acne Free the face cleaner and i've started to get bad skin irritation around my mouth. How can i cure?
Acne is a bundle of skin rashes formed over skin due to the action of hormones on the sebaceous glands. You can get rid of these acne from any of the natural acne remedies listed on the below site. Check it out for yourself as it worked for all that i personally know. The site address is beauticianworld.com
it could possibly just be that the part around your mouth was more sensitive than the rest and during winter, caused you to get drier than expected w/ that stuff. I'd honestly just lay off the Acne Free stuff for a while and see if it gets better. If it does, then you know the culprit. Meanwhile, just keep it hydrated. Lotions probably won't do much for it so you might need something heavier like an ointment or cream to keep it wet and less crusty %26amp; give it moisture. That's all I can think of.
dont worry,,,it will go away,,dont give up,,tats wat happened to me..i got scared...but keep using it,,u will see results very soon...i trust that product,,,it helped me alot...
my suggestion is not to give up..keep using the product,,,during day time,,use a good moisturizer...
ok

What are some vitamins that you can take besides a mulit-vit. that will help acne and improve a complexion?
I currently take a Multi Vitamin and also a Zinc supplement. I have heard that Zinc is good for skin. Any others that I should try? I don't have severe acne, just frustrating breakouts here and there. I'm a man of 28 years if that helps. What are some vitamins that you can take besides a mulit-vit. that will help acne and improve a complexion?

What is the best thing to use on acne scars?
I have just a few acne scar spots on my face, what are the best remdies i can use at home that will either help them disappear or at least fade?
THANKS! :)What is the best thing to use on acne scars?
Acne scarring is perhaps worse than the acne itself.
My acne scars weren't horrible. They probably weren't even that noticeable after I put on my foundation. However, I certainly noticed them and that was all it took to bother ME.
If you've got acne scars, you may feel a bit helpless. But you don't have to because there are alternatives to getting rid of acne scars. And you CAN do something about it.
So what do you do about it? Well, there is totally a solution ... actually there are many.
These are NATURAL treatments.
Now, just because you hear the word ';natural';, I don't want you to shake your head and think you need to just buy some over the counter miracle cream. These remedies WORK! And you'll find that by consistently using them, your acne scars WILL fade just like mine did.
So without further ado, here are my favorite natural acne scar solutions:
Vitamin E
Don't underestimate the power of this healing lotion. You can get it at any drugstore in topical form. I have a HUGE bottle of it under my sink :) . Vitamin E naturally heals scars by moisterizing the damaged skin. Use it everyday to fade away acne scars.
Cocoa Butter
This one should be used carefully. If your acne is not already under control, cocoa butter does pose the threat of additional breakouts. However, if you're using the 3 Day Cure technique and your skin is finally clear, this is a powerful healing tool. Cocoa Butter will soften skin, lighten the scars and make them fade into nothing. I love this one. By the way, Cocoa Butter also works great on fading stretch marks.
Honey
Okay, this is totally gonna change your life! Honey works overtime on acne %26amp; acne scars. Yes, Honey! When I first learned about this natural remedy, I was pretty bewildered. The sound of it alone is confusing. Honey is a sticky, sugary substance. How can it possibly clear up skin?
Honey kills bacteria while simultaneously lessens the red look of irritated skin. The acidity in the honey evens out your skin tone, shrinks current pimples and will give your skin a softer feel. Listen, I know you may be skeptical of this solution. I was at first, then I tried it. This natural acne scar remedy works great.
Lemon
Lemon will help clear up acne as well as fade acne scars. Plus your face will smell like a freshly shined harwood floor, so that's a plus ;)
The acidity in the juice will lighten the redness of the scars and balance your skin's pH levels to prevent future breakouts. Give it a shot.
You can find a lot of other natural acne treatments and acne scar treatments through the Source link below.
Cheers! What is the best thing to use on acne scars?
Two things: Glycolic acid or microdermabrasion. You can get drugstore versions of this from Neutrogena or Aquaglycolic. These are basically exfoliators that remove the dead dull surface layer of skin. They speed up the natural exfoliation process, eliminating the dark spots in 3-4 weeks with regular use. MAKE SURE YOU USE A SUNSCREEN EVERYDAY (AT LEAST SPF 15) or you will see dark marks return, even worse than before. You should be doing this anyway, even on cloudy days.
To make the marks less visible, lighten them up to match your skin tone using papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are available online. These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too.

Can masterbating a few times a week cause acne or make it worse?
Can I get any proof if it does or doesnt! Can masterbating a few times a week cause acne or make it worse?
Just sit and think about it for a few minutes - how is materbating different to sex? How would your body know the difference?
There is no difference to your body!
As one of the biological imperatives is to continue the species - then sex is good!
So why would sex or masterbating cause acne? What biological mechanisem would bring about acne from masterbating or sex?
The worst thing you can get from an excess of masturbation is a sore wrist!
These myths are propogated by repressed people who just want to spread thier own unhappiness.
Find a nice girl/boy friend and until then enjoy yourself!

Does your acne become worst when you wear make up such as concealer or foundation?
Please give me some help I think my skin has gotten worst since I started wearing make up. Does it have any effect on my skin in any way?Does your acne become worst when you wear make up such as concealer or foundation?
It can cause your face to break out more if you sleep in your make up or wear it too long. Be sure that you NEVER go to bed with your makeup on. And you should also check out mineral makeup, like bare Essentials or Jane Iredale because it doesn't clog pore or harbor bacteria.Does your acne become worst when you wear make up such as concealer or foundation?
If you have a history of clogged pores and break outs, liquid foundation probably isn't for you. Unless you get a non-comedogenic foundation.
Liquid foundation is good for people with dry skin
If you have oily skin I recommend a powder foundation like Bare Minerals or some other kind of mineral make up.
It does if you choose a foundation with acne-causing ingredients. Go to this website and choose a foundation that doesn't include any of the ingredients rated 3, 4, or 5. (I'd choose a Physicians Formula mineral makeup.) http://www.zerozits.com/Articles/acnedetect.htm
it can. if you've noticed this, then try using less concealer and foundation. make sure you always wash your face at night getting all the make up off. if you have oily skin to start with, use products that are made for skin like yours.
another tip is to use proactiv, or another kind of face wash.
and eventually if you use it, you won't have to wear any kind of cover up. just keep using the face wash.
i dont have sensitive skin so i can wear almost anything and not break out.
it all depends on your skin type and how it reacts with the makeup. you're probably using makeup that is too harsh/reacting badly with your skin which is why you're breaking out. i would try different brands and see what works for you.
and remember to ALWAYS use a makeup remover/wash off your makeup off at night.
No like i am a freak when it comes to washing my face and it being dry!!! it sucks dosent it!! well i use clean and clear evreything! for acne i use the three step kit it comes with mosterizor! just get mosterizor put it on the dry place before your make up and after you wash your face!! clean and clear has evreything so look in that ial!
\hope i helped!
makeup can only really harm your face if you dont wash it off properly after wearing it. i barely have pimples and i wear makeup almost every day. just wash it off after and follow up with a moisturizer and/or acne cream.
Yes, it usually worsens it more if you use makeup. For me it is so subtle it doesn't really matter. I don't use foundation but i use mineral powder and it doesn't seem to affect it.
Yes..it clogs your pores with bacteria.
If you really need to wear makeup, use a tinted moisturizer.
Take off your makeup as soon as your get home (and don't need to wear it). Then wash your face.
I thought the same thing so I switched to mineral makeup:)
Much healthier:D
Theres so many out there so you need to do a little reaserch:)
It all depends there are makeups you can buy to help with fighting acne check Clinique.
yes. it clogs pores and ur skin cant breathe
on days i dont go out often (or just to the grocery store) i dont wear makeup! its great for ur skin.
Yes, it does harm your pores. It clogs up the pores, which lead to more bad skin.
If you leave it on while u sleep or 2 long yes, try stuff with clearing stuff in it

Does the acne pill help make your breats bigger or just the birthcontrol one with no acne side affects?
im just curious cuz i want to go up a couple sizes but not sure if this will help.Does the acne pill help make your breats bigger or just the birthcontrol one with no acne side affects?
You are talking about BCP? Ask your doctor.
Hormones are responsible for overactive sebaceous glands. These glands produce more sebum that causes acne. In women the hormonal activity can be corrected with oral contraceptives. These drugs should be taken only under medical supervision.
Spironolactone-
Spironolactone is a steroid. It is prescribed along with oral contraceptives to women. Spironolactone controls the production of Androgens- a group of hormones. Androgens are responsible for overactive sebaceous glands. By controlling androgens, the sebum production is reduced and acne is treated in women.
Read- http://www.doctorgoodskin.com/ds/acne/tr鈥?/a>Does the acne pill help make your breats bigger or just the birthcontrol one with no acne side affects?
what acne pill are you referrring to??
you shouldn't take birth control just to control your acne
and making your breasts bigger will also mean that you gain weight everywhere else on your body too
I guess the goal of using an acne pill is to get rid of acne and not to enlarge one's breast to the desired ';huge'; size. This is a case we may call ';side effect'; which is a very hazardous thing to health. A product should have a goal to promote health and safety of the consumers. So if you are looking for a breast-enlargement product, then look for the direct product for that purpose. But when you are looking for a healthy treatment option for acne problem, I believe http://www.skinsosilky.com/acne-skin-car鈥?/a> offers what will work best for you.Choose the correct statements

What works for overnight acne treatments?
I don't have bad acne but I have a date tomorrow and i have two pimple on my chin that appeared out of nowhere....is there anything that will make them go away by tomorrow or at least make them less visible? What works for overnight acne treatments?
Girl, you NEED to get this stuff called Zapzyt!!!! It works wonders! I swear, it will like dry out your pimples in one day. It is in a white little tube with orange writting on it. I'm sure you can get it at any grocery story or walgreens or somethingWhat works for overnight acne treatments?
DERMALOGICA
overnight clearing gel. Does excactly what the bottle says. Clears redness and bumps overnight. Very awesome product. In fact the whole line is awesome! A bit pricy but well worth it! All the celebs are using dermalogica. Hope this helps!
Neutrogena's Rapid Clear removes acne in 8 hours, but I don't know if your local drugstore will have it, and shipping would take way too long. I would just purchase some cover up or foundation from Neutrogena or another good brand.
I hope IT helped!!!
Aloe Vera, this common home plant, is an indispensable acne and oily skin remedy. You can cut its meaty leaf and apply the thick gel-juice directly on the acne or freeze it with water to make refreshing ice cubes. Can Clean and Clear actually cause you to have more acne and pimples?
Ok so i've been using clean and clear (Advantage, or something like that) and i feel that it hasn't really been helping, in fact. I actually think that i'm getting more and more acne. Is it because of the actual cleanser or maybe it's my own skin's reaction? How can i solve this? Can Clean and Clear actually cause you to have more acne and pimples?
I have always heard that your acne will get worse before it gets better with any acne cleansing product. I have also experienced this with clean and clear but unfortunately I discontinue the use of it before I get to see the outcome in the end. Can Clean and Clear actually cause you to have more acne and pimples?
What it does is it brings up acne from beneath the skin to the surface and then dries it up. Most acne cremes and cleansers are like that. I actually got a prescription for differin and said that you may have more acne for the first few weeks because of that. Clean and Clear probably has similar ingredients like salicylic acid and possibly Adaline gel in the creme so it probably applies to that too. Stick to it and you will have good results...trust me!
It's supposed to help so I doubt it is causing you more pimples however it is highly possible that your having a slight allergic reaction , I suggest just washing your face with warm water until the irritation goes away ( DO NOT USE THE FACE WASH DURING THIS TIME ) then once the irritation seems to have gone , go to the store and buy something formulated for sensitive skin ... Aveeno's line of products work great ! Any questions about anything , send me a message at curleynicole@ymail.com
Stop using it, your skin is sensitive to clean and clear. It would only make your acne worse if you continue using.
Try other treatment.

Have you tried using cocco butter? It helps clears spots, marks and makes your skin evenly toned. You should try it! Use it twice a day, everyday (morning and night) for best results and you should start seeing results in about 2-3 wks.

What's a really good way to get rid of acne?
I bet a lot of people ask this, but now I need to know. I break out if I use benzoil peroxide, and I don't like things that come in 3 steps because I don't have the time and patience for that. I need a 1 step soloution that will really get rid of acne. I've tried like 10 different things, and nothing has worked too well. Even Clean %26amp; Clear advantage spot treatment worked the first week and then stopped! Can anyone help? ThanksWhat's a really good way to get rid of acne?
Go to the dermatologist. Your talking to someone who has suffered from terrible acne for four years. They put you on pills/washes depending on your condtion. If something doesn't work, they raise you up a level more and more until something works. I'm on accutane, the highest level of acne control that you can only get if nothing else works. I garuntee you they will find something that works for you.
ps, i used proactiv, it didnt work. trust me with the dermatologist thing. its changing my life. What's a really good way to get rid of acne?
Ask a dermatologist.
i had a friend in high school that had it real bad. he was told by his doctor to wash with phisoderm 3 times a day. it did work for him. i think it all depends on your skin type as well. try jafra as well. of course you have to find someone who sells it. great product
you would need to talk to your doctor for a prescription because your skin is ';getting used'; to your treatments
you need to stay away from oil. Especially mineral oil. Make sure you use hand lotion, that will not clogg your pores, you can touch your face and you can get pimples. Also shampoo, make sure it is not full of oil's. I like Suave clayifying, or suave aloe shampoo. With min. conditioner. I really like Purpose soap, and Basis soap. You can purchase these at any store and not expensive. The key thing is to keep oil products under control.
wash you face alot. keep hair away from your face, dont touch your face too much, stuff like that. thanx for yer answer by the way. oh yeah if you get a washcloth, just soak it in hellllllllllllllllllllla hot water and put it on your face when you can stand the heat. it opens up pores, then you could use an acne wipe thats got salisylic acid in it, like oxy.
You need to be more patient and maybe allow time. Pro Active is a great product although three steps. There is no cure in one step besides medications to stop acne. You usually have to give cream treatments a month to work, using them consistently on a daily basis. You will see fantastic results in the first week and then it will look as though it is not working as the estringent in these creams draws the pimples out in an attempt to clean the skin. Another thing you should be doing is make sure you drink lots of water to make sure your body is hydrated and blood clean of any impurities
Facial turmeric powder (kasthuri manual) – 1 spoon, honey – ½ spoon, few drops of olive oil, curd – ½ spoon, table salt – ¼ spoon. Mix these items to make a paste and apply on your face. More home remedies available at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
STRIDEX!! WIPE YOUR FACE WITH A PAD A DAY SOON IT WILL GO AWAY! ONLY 1 STEP TREATMENT. PROACTIV IS 3 STEPS.
Well even if you just want to use Proactive face wash it is really the best thing out there other then going to the dermotologist and getting acutane (which works also I did this) but its sort of a hassle...try Proactive face wash...
Well I have acne too. I nothing I have tried seems to clear it completely, but I do know that make-up makes me break out. Maybe it's the same for you. I used to wear makeup all the time then I got really sick and I didn't wear any makeup for about two weeks and my acne improved a lot. Also, make sure to wash your face every night before you go to bed, sleeping with an oily face is the worst for your skin. Changing your pillow case often also helps.
I know you said you didn't like the three steps, but have you tried Proactiv? I think that's howit's spelt, it's a really good acne fash wash system, I had horrible acne, and I used it and mine started going away within the first few weeks. So I would give that a try, if now, I would go see a dermatoligist and see what they reccomend.
Drink lots of water , wash your face in the mornings and at night then after washing your face use a acne cream. When washing your face a facial scrub usually helps, and if theres stilll a problem with acne go to a dermatoligist
Hi Stephanie,
it's important to inform yourself first before buying any wrong solution. Products like e.g. accutane or proactiv (and those pills doctors prescribe) are aggressive and can cause damages to you and your skin since they contain harmful ingredients.
Your best bet would be to check out
http://usefulresources.info/natural-acne…
Make sure you bookmark it for future reference.
This is one of the very few products out there which really treats the acne problem at its roots from inside and out, no matter which kind of acne you have. Without damaging your skin, all natural.
I've literally wasted hundreds on other ';miracles'; but this one is highly efficient and that's what only counts for me. It should also help you get rid of your acne in a breeze.
Hope that helps.
All the best,
Melinda
Go to your doctor and get tetracycline.
If that doesn't work, ask for acutane. Just be careful not to get pregnant taking that because you'd have a mutant baby.
If you don't like that, pop you zits early. Open 'em up with a needle, squeeze the crap out, and wipe it down with rubbing alcohol. At worst, you'll have tiny scabs for a day or two, which is a hell of a lot better than growing a pustule as big as your eyeball.
One of my friends in high school listened to his doctor and didn't pop his zits, and one on his nose got humungous. A little white knob was sticking out of the middle of it, like it was begging to be popped. Then one day he sneezed and it popped on its own and shot all over the place. Some got on my glasses.
I should have done him a favor, tackled him, and popped before it got that out of hand.
Try using Pro active it works. Or ask your dermatologist.
Cut down on fatty foods, go to Walmart and pick up a good facial cleaner, wash everyday, and keep down on stress.
the fact is with acne, you cannot have clean healthy skin in one step. studies have shown that one of the most common instigators of acne is the bodies failure to shed its dead skin. i reccomend finding a good wash - DO NOT USE SOAP. soap cleanse too much off your skin and will strip the good with the bad. follow with an exfoliant - some combine these two steps. and you need a moisture. moisture keeps skin healthy and will really show the older you get. unfortunately if you want good skin, some of us just have to work for it.
What are you washing your face with?
Have you tried any of the face pads for SENSITIVE SKIN?
theres no better treatment than soap and water scrub the area really good with a wet cloth should help if its really bad use a mixture of soap water and a little 50% rubbing alcohol
Hygiene, rly. Wash your face a lot. It totalli helps. With soap.

Pimple Or Acne Cure!
Just Follow The Four Steps Below
1. Use no soap of any kind on your face! 2. Do not squeeze the skin on your face, or rub your face with your hands, wash cloth or towel 3. Use no creams, ointments, or medicines on your face, [except antibiotic ointments], they are not needed, but they can be used, and they can be purchased at the grocery store: (if you are someone that shaves); go ahead and apply a thin coat of an antibiotic ointment after you shave, over the area where you have shaved. 4. With water only; cold or cool, gently with your hands once a day, clean your face; [do not use hot water]: pat dry with soft towel. Follow the above instructions to the letter or completely and your acne or pimples should be gone in from one to two months; but for this to happen, (you must follow the above instructions)! Keep the commandments and seek the Lord with all your heart! Believe in the lord jesus christ and you will be saved. Acts 16:31
Warning!! What I'm about to say sounds disgusting %26amp; experts may advise against it...but it works!! Really good acutally. Buy some yeast infection cream.Since it sounds like you have sensitive skin, get the 7 day treatment. Not the anti-itch cream, the actual medication. Use it as a spot treatment. If you don't have any handy, use hemmordial cream. Which can be found at the 99cents only stores if your state has them. My only other advice to you is not to get addicted because it works fast %26amp; leaves no scar. My peers, family %26amp; myself have used it for years. It kills the bacteria from the zit.Choose the correct statements

Is there a way to get rid of a rolling acne scar?
Iv'e had a scar on the bottom side of my face for quite a few years caused by acne ( i think it was a nodule, a pimple without a head, more like a lump).
It doesn't hurt now it's a scar but i dont like it
It looks reddish and feels like a small lump in my skin.
Iv'e heard of Subcutaneous incision, does it work?Is there a way to get rid of a rolling acne scar?
You can have it removed and then it will be a fine line type of scar which will be a lot better. I would recommend find someone (Doctor) with a very good reputation for good suture work. If not done correctly you will get a lump of scar tissue back. If done right it will be barely noticable.
Although it will take time for that new cut to make a smooth scar. But it will eventually smooth down when the swelling and all goes away. Say a full month or so.

Why doesn't your immune system protect you from recurring acne infections?
If it can protect you from getting sick should you encounter a strain of other viruses or bacteria, why can't it protect you from getting new acne infections? Don't tell me that every zit I get is caused by a different strain of bacteria. Why doesn't your immune system protect you from recurring acne infections?
The chance of acne eruptions are relatively less among those individuals who enjoy a strong immune system. This is because the body does not allow bacteria to thrive on dead cells or sebum that may clog skin pores.
The body's immune system rushes WHITE BLOOD CELLS wherever it notices a gathering of harmful bacteria and restores the skin's health This is how IMMUNE SYSTEM reduces the spread of acne. Why doesn't your immune system protect you from recurring acne infections?
The acne infection is your immune system fighting back. And as for protection against getting sick, the immune system cannot always prevent vast numbers of bacteria or viruses from getting a foothold and overwhelming us. There's just no immunity from some things. Take a look at the link below and see if you can find something helpful here. Also ask your doctor about short-term antibiotic therapy and find out if you're a candidate for it.

Acne is caused by your skin producing too much oil. It's your own skin's fault you get acne, not any foreign bacteria's.

I have post inflammatory acne, and i was wondering if there were any products that could help me?
Post inflammatory acne is when a pimple goes away and there is a red bump left after. Ive heard that vichi normaderm works well but im not sure.I have post inflammatory acne, and i was wondering if there were any products that could help me?
nothing you do by treating the actual skin surface is going to help, you need to treat from the inside out. Start looking up anti-inflammatory herbal remedies, I know Nettle tea has anti-inflammatory properties. I am going through the same thing with my skin currently, and I've tried every single skin application out there, none work. You really need to find out what it causing your acne before you can treat it. Is it hormones? Stress? Too much oil? Once you know you can go from there, but for now, just take some herbal remedies for anti-inflammation (be sure they are'nt contraindicated with any meds you are already taking first).I have post inflammatory acne, and i was wondering if there were any products that could help me?
Yes Vichi Normaderm works well. Also, go to a drug store like Rite Aid and check out Clean and Clear products. I use them and have great skin so I suggest it to you.
Look at the product websites provided below, I beleive you could find some good solutions from those.

I have mild acne on my forehead, but it is noticeable but I would really like it to go away before school starts in September. What can I do?I have some mild acne on my forehead, how can I get rid of it before school starts in a month?
Hey
There are many ways that can help you to cure your acne.
here are some tips that were helpful for me to get rid of my acne:
Drink water
Drink plenty of water every day. Aim to drink at least two liters of still mineral water. If the skin becomes dehydrated, dead skin cells are not effectively shed, which can lead to blocked pores and further acne.
Sunshine and fresh air
Sunshine stimulates the creation of vitamin D in your body - an important vitamin for healthy skin. A little bit of fresh air and sunshine every day will also reduce the stress and increase oxygen to your skin. Even when it's overcast, the sun's rays reach us, so try to take a 10 minute walk outside every day.
Reduce the intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates
Last research pointing the finger at diet - eating refined carbohydrates (white bread, pasta, rice, flour etc) and sugar leads to a surge in insulin and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1. This in turn leads to an excess of male hormones, which encourage the skin to excrete large amounts of sebum. This grease-like substance encourages the growth of bacteria responsible for acne.
Refined carbs/sugar = more insulin = more hormones = more sebum (oil) = more bacteria = more acne
Your bed sheets
Keep your bed sheets clean. Wash your pillow case on a regular schedule to reduce the transfer of the natural body oils.
Wash your face
Wash your face only one time a day. Don't over wash , because that will cause only more production of oil on your skin. you can also use very gentle cleansers for normal skin that don't dehydrate the skin and wash twice a day.
Anyhow, don't go out and buy those ';acne free in one night'; systems that you can find anywhere online, they just don't work and you will spend your money for nothing.
Why not? Well, because it takes time to get rid of acne and you will need at least one week to see any noticeable results. There is absolutely no way to get rid of your acne immediately.
If you really want to cure your acne there are two recommended ways that should combined together (if you can afford it) for best results.
Firstly and more important, you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that's causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.
There are only few decent Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to cure your acne from the inside.
Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their guides they share their valuable knowledge with other acne sufferers. Anyhow, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.

There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about.
It was even televised on TV.
It prevents future and existing acne, diminishes scars, and lightens skin and
blemishes. Fast results too! (It has been claimed that major results can be seen within a week and no later than two weeks)
Before and After photos are available at the given ebay site.
This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at:
Search up ';best acne solution ever'; on ebay. First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can buy the whole container for $160
It's expensive, but the product DOES work
My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.
I don't have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.
I hope this helps. =)
You can get this medicated soap at the supermarket in the same aisle as regular soap. It contains triclosan or something else like that, but it works. Just use that instead of your regular soap and it will work in about three days if that is ok. Plus have a look at your diet for next time and try to eat lower GI foods. Not so many carbs. Food with protein and zinc help a lot
Use calamine lotion! My face was so red and bumpy last night so, I put calamine lotion on and my face cleared right up! It dried up the pimples and left my skin softer. I'm serious! I read about it so i decided to try it out for myself. Calamine lotion is so cheap too. Go buy some from walmart and apply it on with cotton balls. This is a pretty quick solution. Good luck to you. Acne sucks! I know.
Try taking more vitamins. Sometimes when you don't have enough in your system your face tends to breakout.

Ok, Does anyone know of some good scar removal cream, or some way to remove scars formed from acne on the face?
Like, I have little acne, but it looks like i have a lot because of the darkened scars everywhere :( If anyone is a dermatologist, or knows what they are doing when it comes to skin, please tell me and give me tips or maybe home remedies that can help clear and hopefully get rid of the scars, cause that way my face will be so clear. And Prom is coming up in two months :DOk, Does anyone know of some good scar removal cream, or some way to remove scars formed from acne on the face?
I dont know how much help it will be now. But i do know that when women are going threw pregnancy, they are encouraged to use Coco Butter to reduce the chances of getting stretch marks. Stretch marks can scar a woman's stomach for years. It could be a simple fix, but I dont know how much it can change in two months.Ok, Does anyone know of some good scar removal cream, or some way to remove scars formed from acne on the face?
you can go to a skn clinic, and get some therapy. im not exactly sure how they do it, but you can have scars removed, its a bit expecsive, but probably worth it in the long run.
i also suffered from really, really text book bad acne, and went on a pill called Roaccutane; it works by making the sizes of the oil glands under your skin smaller, and clears up even the worst cases, so if you sill have acne, ask your doctor, it sure changed my life :) and i don't even scar anymore!
if the scars are just discolorations under the skin, you can just invest in a really good makeup concealer for prom, but if they scars have made bumps in your skin, like small holes etc, then it's probably worth getting them removed.
good luck!

Laser resurfacing is a treatment involving the flattening and resurfacing of the skin layer by the use of laser thus making the scars more even with the surface of the skin. This, to an extent, camouflages the scars. However, this method often causes undesirable side effects such as infection, a reddening of the skin and can sometimes even aggravate the scars. Studies have indicated that laser treatment works better on newly formed scars rather than on old ones.Choose the correct statements

This happened to me, just tan it out. tan your face and it will disappear. Or do what i do and get a prescribed ointment and it helps. and dont pop the pimples. White heads are ok to pop if you do it right.
1. Get a needle, lighter and toilet paper.
2. Wash your hands
3. Sterilize the needle with a lighter or flame.
4. Skim the top of the white head with a needle so it breaks the skin of it.
5.';ooze'; out the white junk till its gone
6. Wipe it up with some toilet paper and wipe every once in a while to get rid of blood and fluids.
it depends what you mean by scar
if its just an under the skin spot, it goes away after a while. if it is an actual dimple-like scar, those don't go away. The best way to prevent scars is not to pop the zits. believe it or not, zits go away on their own without any fuss.

What is the best acne treatment for sensitive skin? (not proactiv, im using it & it sucks)?
Help! I have really sensitive skin, and when i use a product, it tends to make my skin red! What is the best acne treatment for sensitive skin? (not proactiv, im using it %26amp; it sucks)?
If you have only been using the product for a week, then keep using it. Your skin needs to get used to the product. It might wor after awhile. But it will only work if you are using it correctly and continuously.
If it still doesn't work or is past this stage: go to the store. look at the acne treatments. buy a scrub or cleanser with 0.5%salicylic acid. Balance it with an acne cream of 5-10% benzoyl peroxide. 10% is the highest if your acne is bad. I recommend you get a product with sulfur, though, because it won't irritate your skin as much. Test the products for a week. It is natural for your face to become red and irritated at first so make sure to start using them at times when you won't see anyone. If your face is still irritated after a week see a dermotoligist. You might have an allergy to something in most acne medications.
Proactiv really doesn't work btw. They're just good at selling it. The best stuff comes from dermotoligists. What is the best acne treatment for sensitive skin? (not proactiv, im using it %26amp; it sucks)?
WOW SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME IM A READ THESE ANSWERS!!!!!!!!! lol
Soak a cloth in hot water and leave it on your face for about 5 minutes. Afterwards, dont wipe off the water from your face!!
Hope that helps!!
I had the same problem with the brand that you mentioned, and I switched to Mario Badescu, and I have had very happy results. You can find the products at their website, and in select stores.
one thing that has worked for me and is inexpensive--just put neosporine on your zits at night. it will make them heal faster and keep them from re-infecting if you picked at them. also, if you wear make-up, go a week without using any foundation/coverup/powder, the difference that makes is amazing--even just washing the make-up off immediately after returning home can help. a few months ago i wouldn't leave my room without make-up, and now i go clean faced most of the time because of the combination of neosporine and giving my skin time to breath!
proactiv WORKS keep using and don't diss it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

鈥?Gently rubbing a fresh clove of garlic directly to pimples will contribute to a permanent cure for acne. This has worked as a success for many acne sufferers. Garlic helps to reduce the symptoms of acne such as spots, inflammation and relieve swelling very quickly. Frequent usage of garlic will result to a glowing skin.
鈥?During chronic conditions of acne make a mixture with these delicious ingredients: cucumber juice, 1 tablespoon of yogurt, tomato juice, 1 tablespoon of honey, few drops of mint juice and coriander juice. Apply it over your acne areas and leave it for 10 minutes then wash off.
鈥?Your body needs plenty of vitamin C to b able to fight against acne. Drinking fresh orange juice regularly will progressively fade away acne scars. Vitamin C contributes in the restoration of damaged skin. To be frank, I personally do not like orange but I consume it to keep my skin healthy! Anyways, you may drink any fresh fruit's juice rich in vitamin C.

A good cure for pimples will never, ever include anything about washing your face. Ignore anyone who ever mentions anything about washing your face or getting rid of dirt on your face. Acne has absolutely nothing to do with dirt on your face and washing can irritate your skin and cause more breakouts.
Here are some good homemade treatments and cure for pimples:
Baking soda - just mix a little bit of baking soda with some water and spread it on your skin. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before rinsing off
Egg white and lemon - mix 1 egg white with a few drops of (real) lemon juice. Let the mask dry and peel/rinse off
Honey- honey is great for reducing current blemishes as well as moisturizing. I suggest putting it on before you shower so it's easier to rinse off. I also suggest organic, unprocessed honey as it contains many ingredients that normal store bought honey doesn't have due to processing
Papaya - has a lot of vitamin a and c which are great to cure for pimples. You can make a great mask by pureeing papaya and mixing it with honey
For more longer run cure for pimples, you want to cut out dairy and white sugar and reduce consumption of red meat, white bread and white rice. All of these either release toxins into our bloodstream and/or cause our bodies to over produce sebum and cause our skin cells to die more quickly than normal. Get rid of these conditions and you'll no longer have acne whatsoever.
Eating a bit healthier, exercising a bit more, drinking more water and having a positive mental outlook will all combine to give you great looking skin. That is the real cure for pimples
The simplest and best way to keep your face clean of acne is to first wash it off with soap and water. Then, use astringent on a cotton ball and wipe off any remaining dirt and grime from your face. Any dirt that's left is a possible trigger for acne, so make sure you get everywhere, such as along the bridge of your nose, by your chin, etc. Find a product that acts as a mask you leave on overnight. When you wake up and wash off the mask, you should see a lot of the redness has gone down.
a)If you have bangs, cut them off.
b)Drink plenty of water 8-10 glasses.
c)Put toothpaste on before you go to sleep.
d)Drops of lemon on the affected area.
e)You should buy calimine lotion, it'd be of great help.
Here's a great tip: When you wash your face do not use bar of soap. Always use a face cleanser, than pat dry it. After a while, put some mosturizer on. Then, after 3-4 hours or so, repeat the same steps. At the end of the day you'd have fresh looking skin, and your pores will most likely shrink. And since you have oily skin, you should really do this activity.
The most simplest remedy are lemons !
Just squeeze some lemon juice in a bowl , rub it on your face with clean hands or with a washcloth . After you are finished washing your face , rinse with warm water .
Good luck ;)

What are good herbs to help in the treatment of acne?
What are some herb supplements that I could buy at whole foods that would help me get rid of acne and oil plugs? What are good herbs to help in the treatment of acne?
I can't offer any ideas for an herbal dietary supplement, but I do have one suggestion that will help keep your acne down. It is available at most pharmacies, and should be available at some health food stores; anyway, try witch hazel. Buy a bottle at the local pharmacy and some cotton pads like those that you use for makeup removal, and then wipe your skin with a pad soaked in witch hazel every evening. It'll clear you right up, and keep you clear.
This is basically a family secret sort of deal, my grandmother suggested it to my father who in turn suggested it to me. It works. What are good herbs to help in the treatment of acne?
3 Herbs to Take for Acne Relief
There are plenty of different things that people do in an attempt to get rid of acne. Some of these are pharmaceutical but they tend to carry some side effects that most of us do not want to have to deal with. It is always a better idea to try and cure something naturally so that you don't mess anything else up in the process. To be certain, there are several different herbs that can be taken which will help to clear up your skin if not get rid of your acne altogether.
These herbs have been used for many years for a variety of different reasons. As a matter of fact, some of them have been used in Asia for well over 5000 years, both to help clear up skin and to take care of other health issues. If you are having a problem with acne or with problem skin, here are three different herbs that you can take which will help to get your body back into balance and to clear up your skin naturally.
Basil - The Herb has been used for a variety of different reasons but most importantly, it kills bacteria which may be at the root of your acne problems. Not only that, it helps to clean the blood that may carry this bacteria and keep it within your body. Basil tea has been taken for many years in order to solve problems like this. Even the soil where the basil grows become so pure that it is renowned for its healing mud baths.
Sandalwood - This herb comes from the bark of the Sandalwood tree and many people consider it to be great aromatherapy. By spreading this substance onto your skin, you are going to help to heal it and to give it a healthy glow that will last for quite some time.
Lavender - Along with being a great smelling herb, it also helps to reduce inflammation and has some antiseptic properties which can go a long way in helping you with your acne. If you love the smell of lavender, you should try using this on your problem skin as well.
Tea Tree Oil - This is probably one of the better-known herbs that works for acne and it does an excellent job because of its antibacterial properties along with the fact that it is antiseptic in nature. Make sure you dilute this oil before applying it directly to your skin.
One of the home remedies for acne I heard of is a mixture that contains equal portions of extracts from sarsaparilla, yellow dock, burdock, and cleavers.
The accepted dosage is one-half teaspoon to be taken three times a
day.
It's believed this particular combination of herbal extracts will
produce a blood cleansing effect that is supposed to reduce or
eliminate the toxins that cause acne.
Acne is very rarely caused by what we put onto our skin, instead it鈥檚 usually caused by something within our body that鈥檚 a little bit off balance or is not working as well as it should.

im not really sure about 'herbs' but i know that washing your face with water and a very mild scentless soap once a day can help. good luckk! :]

I have tried almost every over- the- counter acne medicine and nothing works. What can I use to lose my acne?
I have tried everything you can think off and nothing will work! I wash my face everyday, scrub my face, and it still will not clear up. I have even bought Proactiv and it does not work! Any suggestions, please submit!I have tried almost every over- the- counter acne medicine and nothing works. What can I use to lose my acne?
I had the same problem not that long ago when I was like 20 and I went to a dermatologist. Best thing I ever did! It was a little on the spendy side, just like any doctor but she put me on birth control pills and prescription creams that cleared up my face.I have tried almost every over- the- counter acne medicine and nothing works. What can I use to lose my acne?
the only thing that will lose you acne, is your youth.
Don't scrub your face, it will make your oil glands overactive.
See a dermatologist-- ask your regular doctor for a referral to one.
I had to use minocycline (an oral antibiotic) and finacea, a topical cream-- I have rosacea, also. There are many treatment options-- a dermatologist should look at your face and help decide which one will be best. It may take a couple of different tries.
In the meantime, be sure your makeup is oil-free and says ';won't clog pores'; or ';non-acnegenic'; on it. Be sure your face wash doesn't overly ';clean' your face-- if your face feels tight %26amp; dry after you wash it, your product is too strong; this will also make your oil glands overreact and make you break out more.
Good luck!
I use this brand called Murad from Sephora.
It took a little while, but eventually worked for me.
Toothpaste, lime juice, tomato slices, home made packs can be used for treating acne. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for pimples at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
I posted this to another girl's question about acne today:
yay i had your same problem about 2-3 months ago. i had severe acne and nothing that i bought over the counter worked (i have a trash bag full of face washes and creams that didn't work) and neither did the antibiotics and topicals that my doctor gave me. i had the works, cystic acne, black heads, and pustules, not to mention that the acne left red spots on my face once they were gone. I never wanted to leave the house, thats how bad my face was. I did eventually find a routine that worked and is affordable! oh yeah and pro-activ and acnefree didn't work for me either. Also Murad from Sephora didn't work for me. Here's my routine:
1.) Wash face with ';Purpose'; liquid soap (about 7 dollars CVS) GENTLY (less irritation = less zits) for NO MORE than 10 seconds. pat dry. wait 5 minutes or until face is completely dry.
2.) swipe ';stridex benzoyl peroxide power pads'; (the only place i know where you can get them is CVS) gently over your face. each pad has 2.5% benzoyl peroxide which is proven to be just as effective as 5% and 10%, the only difference is that 2.5% is less irritating! I really like these pads because other benzoyl peroxide creams and gels dry out my face and irritate it when i put lotion on, but these don't! wait 5 minutes or until face is completely dry.
3.) put on face lotion. one that is oil free, noncomedogenic (won't clog pores), and has SPF 15 or higher. Before i used ';Aveeno ultra-calming daily moisturizer';, but now i use ';Garnier Nutritioniste skin renew anti-sun-damage daily moisture lotion'; (it's new, 13 dollars at CVS) to help with the red spots on my face that the acne left behind. The Garnier is cheaper and has more SPF than the Aveeno! Plus the Garnier lotion has more pros.
do this routine twice daily, once in the morning and once at night. The key to this routine is to be as gentle as possible when washing your face and putting on the topicals. washing your hands between steps and changing your pillow case regularly will help too. make sure you don't wash your face for more than 10 seconds or your face will get dry. washing your face is only to remove make-up/oil/dirt and prep your face for step 2. This routine saved me, hopefully it will for you too!
Buy the colgate toothpaste, the actually paste kind, not gel. At night, put a dab on your zits and let it dry overnight, in the morning, the zit should be dryed out :)
How long to you use the products before giving up? You need to set up a system and continue with it for a few months.
Find a face wash with either benzoyle peroxide or salicytic acid. Both are acne medications. I use Clearasil Ultra.
Next, you need an astringent with either of those two acne medications in it too. I use Seabreeze and it works the best in my experience.
Now you need an exfoliate. I used St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I makes your skin very smooth.
This one's optional. I use a light benzoyle peroxide gel on my face after washing and applying astrigent. It's best for either spot treatments. I use it all over my face for an even coverage.
Do this: wash your face, then exfoliate 3 times a week, apply astringent, allow it to dry, then, if you choose the gel, apply it. You have to dedicate yourself to this system or nothing will work for you. I didn't have bad acne on my face, but I had it really bad on my chest upper arms and back. This was the only thing that got rid of it all. And here I am 5 years later...acne free and I still use all of these products.
Good Luck! :)

this is a bit experimental, but my brother cut milk out of his diet and his acne cleared up immensly. u might want to try reducing your protein intake. just trying to give u another option if the acne creams and chemicals arent working.
i really wish i knew =(
i also have tried everything you can think of.
i think you should go to a derm.
that's what ima do soon
I also suffer from really bad acne. I had horrible cysts and sand-type pimples that were so embarrassing for probably the last 2 years. The thing that saved me was my dermatologist. Seriously, if you want clear skin, go to one.
Mine put me on Retin-A, oral antibiotics, and Yaz birth control. I love the Retinol, I think it worked the best. Not only do I have WAY clearer skin (though I do still get the occasional minor breakout), but it's clinically proven against undereye baggies and wrinkles (I'm in my 20s so I have to start worrying!).
The first week and a half you are on retinol, which is a topical cream you put on your problem areas, you will get a slightly red face and flaky skin, just like if you had a minor sunburn. This is just because retinol makes your skin cells turn over at a faster rate, and though it's annoying, after the first week you'll be glad you were vigilant, because it goes away. You don't wear it during the day because it makes your face way more sensitive to the sun, so you can wear regular acne help during the day, if you want. Often the retinol makes your face a little more sensitive to other chemicals, but I have super sensitive skin and only experienced a little discomfort with this. You need to wear something with sunscreen, maybe just moisturizer even. The sun's rays will aggravate acne!
Now, I can't say it was the retinol completely alone, because I was taking the BC pills throughout this time. I stopped taking the antibiotics because I don't want to build up super bacteria, but I cleared up without them just the same. In addition, I used the Clean and Clear advantage wash at night and the Clean and Clear advantage acne spot treatment during the day, under my makeup (I wear A LOT of makeup, because even though I'm clear I have acne scars). In the morning I just washed off the retinol with warmish water and patted it dry. I also used a mild astringent day and night, I think it was neutrogena, and it was very gentle.
Biggest things I had to get over were these:
-Not to touch my face (most of my breakout areas came from this!)
-Not to expect immediate amazing results. Most acne treatments take about a month to show real, deep results
-Not to skip ANY washings/retinol nights. When I did this, I totally broke out. I even would not go out partying late because I wanted to go home and wash my face.
-If my face feels nasty (I have a very oily complexion), I would wash it (but just with water) and just apply astringent, if I had the chance, like if I was home early and it was 5 o'clock or something. Then I would wash it fo' rizzle when I was going to bed around 12.
If this doesn't work, you can also take accutane from a doctor, but it kinda ruins your liver (I hear), so it really freaked me out.
I know this is a SUPER long answer, but I feel so much better about my face and myself now that the acne is under control, that I want to share it with everybody! Don't give up! It may take a while to see results, like it did for me (3 months cuz I'm such a slacker about having a regimen, only 1 if you're righteous), but the results and confidence are SO worth it!
If you can't see a dermy, I would recommend Clean and Clear advantage, it's the best I've used (I didn't try proactive). You might also want to read ';The Skin Type Solution'; by Dr. Leslie Baumann. This helped me to understand my skin type, and even led me to go to a dermatologist. I have included some links that might help. Good luck!
Maybe you are scrubbing to much, try going to your dermatoligist.. they can prescribe something for you like retin -a or erythromiacin...
diet does contribute to acne some, so try eliminating processed foods and greasy, unhealthy items...
also hormones, if your a girl going on the pill might help.
if you want something form a drugstore buy clean and clear control cleanser with the clean and clear advantage oil-free moisturizer. if you have oily skin use both in the morning and at night. if you have combination or dry skin use only at night and apply the moisturizer in the morning. dont use bad makeup! for oily skin use powder. liquid foundation and oily skin just dont work well together. an awesome powder is physicians formula mineral loose powder. it soaks up unwanted oil and helps sensitive and acne prone skin. but the last thing you want to do is put loose powder on dry skin. dry skin needs to be hydrated throughout the day. use physicians formula mineral liquid makeup. it also helps sensitive and acne prone skin. another thing you can do with any kind of skin type is go with all natural cleansers. try zyporex, its all natural and just for acne. it gives you a really clean feeling. natural can be the best thing because it doesnt contain harsh chemicals that can irritate your face rather than help.
Try the biore warmimg cleanser. It opens up your pores and cleans them out. It works but don't give up, it may take a couple weeks to work.
Did u use the Sensitive product from ProActive. I use it now, it definitely works!!!!
The original one gave me a allergic reaction!
The citric acid in lemon has properties that can kill harmful bacteria present in acne. A paste of orange peels also cleanses the skin and fights harmful bacteria.Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne
I don't think that every OTC acne medicine your tried includes derma cleanse acne system from zenmed because you'll hardly find people dissatisfied with its effectiveness. If you haven't yet then I would surely recommend you to use this product for treating acne. It's great stuff containing all the perfect ingredients to fight acne right from the roots and at the same time keeping your skin nourished. This pack also includes a scar treatment cream which is definitely required by all acne sufferers. I am enjoying an acne free experience ever since I started using derma cleanse.
Try Murad Acne Complex it really works and doesnt dry the skin like proactive %26lt;======= SUCKS
i use to have a lot of acne and mine has gone away a lot. I've just been washing my face day and night with nitrogena and been drinking A LOT of water keeping my hands clean and avoiding touching my face. Hope it helps :)
sorry kiddo try changing ur dermatologist

if you want something form a drugstore buy clean and clear control cleanser with the clean and clear advantage oil-free moisturizer. if you have oily skin use both in the morning and at night. if you have combination or dry skin use only at night and apply the moisturizer in the morning. dont use bad makeup! for oily skin use powder. liquid foundation and oily skin just dont work well together. an awesome powder is physicians formula mineral loose powder. it soaks up unwanted oil and helps sensitive and acne prone skin. but the last thing you want to do is put loose powder on dry skin. dry skin needs to be hydrated throughout the day. use physicians formula mineral liquid makeup. it also helps sensitive and acne prone skin. another thing you can do with any kind of skin type is go with all natural cleansers. try zyporex, its all natural and just for acne. it gives you a really clean feeling. natural can be the best thing because it doesnt contain harsh chemicals that can irritate your face rather than help.
Try the biore warmimg cleanser. It opens up your pores and cleans them out. It works but don't give up, it may take a couple weeks to work.

How long do i have to wait to switch acne prodcts?
I am currently using Nuetrogena Acne Stress control but i have no results so i'm going to use Proactive.
*How long should i wait before switching products*How long do i have to wait to switch acne prodcts?
I Would Keep Using It, But Every Week, Use Less Quantity.
So This Week Use 3/4 Of What You Use.
Next Week Use Half Of What You Use.
After Those 2 Weeks Use A Pea Size Drop.
This Week Only Apply It 3 Times.
So Put It On Wednesday.
Then Friday.
Then Saturday.
Then On The Second Week, Put It On Tuesday.
Then Thursday, Then Saturday.
Then On The Last Week Use It Twice.
On Tuesday Then Saturday.
Then Wait About 2 Days. Then Use Proactive.
