Is lotion or any kind of moisturizer good when you're trying to get rid of acne?

i heard lotion clogs pores. and thats bad for some reason..

and i also heard that drying out your acne is good..

but i also heard that when your skin dries out, your body moisturizes your skin with its own oils but the oils have toxins in it so its bad...

so is it good or bad?Is lotion or any kind of moisturizer good when you're trying to get rid of acne?
Well, obviously moisturizer is really important when it comes to battle acne. This is because well moisturized skin increase skin resistance against future breakouts.Plus,if you have dry and sensitive skin, then you really need a moisturizer.I would recommend you to try Vitamin E Moisturizer since it is for all skin types.Plus, you could also try Murad products or even Clinique moisturizer since it really hydrates your skin.Plus,do avoid lotion moisturizer since it will make your face more oily and prone to breakouts.Choose an oil free moisturizer and make sure it is in a gel form.Hope I helped(:

P/s:If you have acne, you might as well opt for a gentle cleanser to cleanse your face twice daily.Hope I helped(:Is lotion or any kind of moisturizer good when you're trying to get rid of acne?
Yes, it's a good thing because well, your skin needs to be hydrated. Drying out your acne is good, but your acne is not your skin.

Everyone produces sebum, a natural moisturizer, but when the sebum is over produced (due to hormones during puberty), the pores get clogged, thus, we get acne. Sebum itself isn't bad at all.

No matter what your skin type is, you need moisturizer. You need to find a moisturizer that is light and works with your skin. For example, I have oily skin and I use an oil-free moisturizer. Do not put the moisturizer on too thickly because that is what will break you out and essentially make your acne worse.
any kind of oil-free lotion with either benzoyl peroxide (be careful with this one, though, because it stains your pillows if you put it on before sleeping) or salicylic acid. i would recommend a lotion with benzoyl peroxide, such as proactiv, as it's more effective.

good luck!

p.s. drying out your skin is actually worse. by drying out the skin, your body prepares itself to ';self-moisturize';, and your body begins producing more oil. It's the same as eating less and exercising more...your body just ends up storing calories, which works against a diet.
if you have dry skin you need moisturizer, if you have oily skin moisturizer is a big no no. If you have skin thats inbetween then you're alright just need to use a face wash for combination skin.
It all depends on your skin type. For an example, I have very oily, acne prone skin and I use gel based moisturizer from Clinique. I also use benzoyl peroxide from Neutrogena twice a day. This should really help.
dormer 211 it was recomennded by my dermatolgist before all the other moisturizors i used caused me to break out with hundreds of white heads but this one is oil free soothing and non comodogenic which means it's especially formulated for acne prone skin
It's not good to dry your skin totally. A little amount of lotion is always good. Or you could put lotion on parts of your face where there's not much acne.
use the lotion that comes with proactive. . . its not a moisturizer but it keeps ur skin kinda hydrated without oil. or just get some oil free stuff
